multi-language TV network that serves more

than 250 million potential viewers in China and

around the world.

Shen Yun Performing Arts), competitions, and

On September 22nd-23rd, Times Square

will be transformed into the “kitchen

arena” of Chang’An City, the Ancient Tang

Dynasty capital of China, for NTD’s Fourth

International Chinese Culinary Competition.

Over 60 Master Chefs from around the world

will compete in the five cuisine categories:

Szechuan, Shandong, Cantonese, Huaiyang

and Northeastern Chinese for total prizes of

$70,000.

In keeping with NTD’s mission to promote traditional Chinese culture, The Emperor’s Banquet (Pier Sixty, Sept. 25th) is a celebration of the history, pageantry and tradition of five thousand years of Chinese cuisine from all regions of China.

Importantly, The Banquet celebrates the belief that press freedom, human rights and cultural exchange is crucial to China as well as the rest of the world.

10TH Anniversary Highlights:As a unique part of our celebrations, NTD is pleased to announce:

· Honored Guest–Kerry Kennedy: A portion of The Banquet’s proceeds will be donated to the Robert F. Kennedy Center for Justice & Human Rights to recognize their Speak Truth to Power campaign and human rights work in Asia.

· Citymeals-on-Wheels with Gael Greene: On Sept. 22nd between 12pm-1pm, in special tribute to the unique contribution Chinese citizens have made to the United States, NTD will donate meals from its Times Square culinary com-petition to the Project Open Door senior center in Chinatown (NYC).

· Commemorating 9/11 Fallen Heroes: On Sept. 22nd at Times Square, NTD will host a Celebrity Chef Charity Event from 7pm-9.30pm for the Sergeants Benevolent Association (SBA) Widows’ and Children’s Fund in addition to the Uni-formed Fire Officers Bravest Scholarship Fund.
