DEPARTS FROM LINZ/PASSAUA UNESCO World Heritage Site, Český Krumlov is famous for its Old Town, with 300 protected Medieval buildings and its castle complex, the second largest in the Czech Republic. Surrounded by rolling hills and the Vltava River, Český Krumlov’s cobblestone streets wind past centuries old townhomes, inns, shops, and cafés. With its picturesque medieval centre in South Bohemia, the town was founded in the 13th century and has retained its former medieval character. The architecture of the Castle and the town is a mix of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque.

Includes: Coach transfer + lunch + local guide. Note: Guests taking this tour cannot do the Salzburg day tour or the Passau walking tour.

BRÜHL CASTLE $100 per person

DEPARTS FROM COLOGNEThis magnificent tour takes guests to the picturesque castle of Brühl, the former town of residence of the Prince Bishops of Cologne, and also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Guests will have a guided tour of the Augustusburg Palace, which represents one of the first examples of Rococo creations in Germany. Then, they will have free time to explore the Falkenlust Hunting Lodge.

SALZBURG $168 per person

DEPARTS FROM LINZ/PASSAUSalzburg is the birth-place of Mozart and you will find the face of the city’s most famous son everywhere. Salzburg is also the setting for the Sound of Music movie, which has shaped the city’s perception in the minds of generations. But Salzburg is much more. It is a city with history based on the salt trade from the nearby Alpine Mountains, it is a city of beautiful Baroque buildings, nestled between the mountains and green waters of the Salzach river. It has a long cultural heritage, with quaint busy lanes like the “Getreidegasse” which houses wrought iron signs, where you might get a feeling of how busy this city once was.

SCHÖNBRUNN PALACE $84 per person

DEPARTS FROM VIENNASchönbrunn, the former summer residence of the Hapsburg Empire, is considered one of the most beautiful Baroque palaces in Europe. The Hapsburgs resided here during the summer months in numerous rooms for the large imperial family in addition to representational rooms. Emperor Franz Joseph, who later married the enchanting Sisi, reigned from 1848 to 1916, and was born here in 1830. The monarch spent his last years entirely in the Palace, which became the property of the new Republic of Austria only two years after his death. Today, the palace is part of UNESCO’s cultural heritage due to its historic importance, its unique grounds and its splendid furnishings. Follow our local expert and visit Empress Sisi’s former summer residence.

DEPARTS FROM BELGRADEGuests will have the opportunity to see everything related to the theatre: including backstage, dressing and make up rooms, creation of costumes, as well as the opportunity to stand on the actual stage. The highlight is a concert at the end of the tour, given by two singers at the so-called “museum area”. Transfers begin at 3:00 p.m.

DEPARTS FROM WÜRZBURGThe best preserved Medieval town in Germany, Rothenburg ob der Tauber, fits the word romantic perfectly. Walk the wall that encircles Rothenburg to get various perspectives of architecture in the middle ages (as well as a lot of exercise). Climb to the top of the Rothenburg Town Hall Tower (circa 1250-1400) for a wide-angle view of Rothenburg and surrounding countryside. The entire walled town of Rothenburg is a museum. The wall connects five Medieval gates complete with guard towers that date from the thirteenth to sixteenth centuries. Just walk along Rothenburg’s narrow cobblestone streets and admire the Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque houses and fountains. You may wish that you had lived in these prettier, quieter, slow times. As well as the attraction of the town itself, Rothenburg offers a selection of historic restaurants, Gothic churches, art exhibits, museums, suits of armour, and great Franken wine, to name only a few.

DEPARTS FROM SILISTRAAs your ship docks in Silistra for the day, take a coach excursion to the Black Sea. The seaside town of Varna was founded in 600BC by the Greeks and today is Bulgaria’s gateway to the Black Sea trade. In Varna we visit the archaeological museum and see the sandy Black Sea beachfronts.

DEPARTS FROM BUCHARESTGuests will be transferred by coach to Snagov Monastery, which is located outside of Bucharest on a remote island and is the supposed burial site of Vlad the Impaler, commonly known as Count Dracula. Visit the monastery and learn about the mysteries of bygone eras.
