During more than two decades Eltacon Engineering has designed, manufactured, tested and delivered varioustypes of gas compressor packages for numerous reputable end-users and turbine manufacturers. In the earlynineties we supplied units like

Today we supply gas compressor packages in a wide range of alternative executions, all based on oil-injected

twin rotary screw compressors. The choice for this type of compressor is based on the better economics and thehigher compression ratio of oil-injected screw compared with oil-free screw compressors.

Being an independent packager Eltacon selects the best available model and size of compressor using theproduct range of international recognized manufacturers such as Howden, Kobelco, Grasso and GHH-Rand.

The units can be driven by electric motors (with fixed or variable speed drives), steam-turbines, diesel- or gasengines. Depending on compressor make and model discharge pressures up to 60 bara can be reached.Lubricating oil can either be mineral oil (Natural gas) or synthetic oil (most other gases). The packages can beplaced indoors or outdoors.

We have delivered gas compressor packages for power plants up to 200 MW (based on 2 up to 4 gas turbines).The "typical" gas compressor range of Eltacon:

- Gas inlet pressures between 1 bara and 24 bara (14,5 psia and 350 psia)

- Gas discharge pressures up to 60 bara (870 psia)

- Pressure ratio from a minimum of 1,2 up to approx. 22 (pending nature of gas) with a "swept" volume up toapprox 6.000 m
