• Ella Fitzgerald was born on April 25th,1917 in Newport News, VA

After Birth

• Shortly after birth she was born she moved to Yonkers, New York

Her Singing Debut

• On November 21st,1934 she made her singing debut and she was only 17

Her Band

• At the Apollo Theater in Harlem, NY she met a band leader named Chick Webb and began singing with his orchestra through 1935

She Died

• She died June 15th,1996 at the age of 79
