A lessandro Picasso, master craftsman with 30 years worth of

experience in creating spearfishing equipment has launched a new

range of gear named Elite - Natural Fishers.

About fifteen years ago, chicle wetsuits revolutionised our way of

being in the water. Standing out mainly due to extreme elasticity of

the neoprene used together with great heat retention,

which became the benchmark in comfort level around the world.

The Elite Mitho chicle suits are at the forefront of wetsuit design and

are for the divers who are at the top of their game. State of the art

innovations in neoprene production have led to materials that are

resilient to wear and tear yet are soft and supple to allow maximum

freedom of movement.

An ingenious addition to the long johns and pants is the off-set knee

pads, off-set to the inside of the knee area due to this being the area

that spear fisherman use the most to hold onto rocks in turbulent

conditions.

Elites Basik and Epic range of wetsuits are of exceptional comfort and

quality and the balance of ruggedness and comfort have been pin

pointed perfectly. The suits ergonomic design and custom made

camo patterns set them in another league to other nylon/open cell

suits available.

Allessandro has pioneered a standard sizing chart that suits the

world market. The 'L' sizes are made with longer legs and arms in

mind which is a huge factor with the average sized South African.

The Mitho Revolution range of Chicle/open cell suits are Elites top of the range performance suits. Ranging from 4mm up to 8.5mm there is a Mitho suit for all conditions. All the Mitho Chicle seams are covered with a 0.2mm neoprene tape to

enhance structural integrity and alleviate weak points.

The long johns and pants incorporate a neoprene panel in the crotch area to assist in alleviating beaver tail wear in that region. They also have the off-set knee pads which is a huge plus when diving in turbulent waters and holding onto the

structure with the inside area of the knees. The arms and legs terminate in a water tight seal ensuring maximum thermal protection and alleviating flushing in cooler waters. The seal around the face area of the hood is great when diving in strong surge and prevents water entering in this region. The Mitho Jackets have an oversized loading pad, great when

switching from short to long guns and adjusting the loading area accordingly.

The chicle suits come in three camo pattern colours, namely the Silver, Devil and Medit. The sizes range from 46 up to 56 with the 'L' indicating the extra length sizes (185-195 cm).

There is an added 10% surcharge on all Mitho revolution suits over size 56.

The Epic range of suits is Elites top drawer Nylon/Opencell spearfishing wetsuit. It has the same anatomically designed jacket with the bent arms and the waist pulled in creating a snug seal.

The beaver tail secures with a Velcro system giving the user more flexibility in that area. An exterior oversize loading pad, purpose built water tight seals on the wrists and ankles as well as around the hood

complete the robust yet supple construction of the Epic Jacket.

The long john is made of full 3, 5 and 7mm neoprene thereby creating a thicker thermal layer in the chest area worn in conjunction with the same thickness jacket.

Elites trademark offset knee pads round off the rugged construction of the Epic Long John.

The Elite Epic comes in three camo patterns, Silver/grey, Medit (Green/yellow) and the Devil (red/black).

The Elite Basik is the standard nylon outside, Opencell inside suit that put Elite wetsuits At the top of the spearfishermans list of favorite wetsuits.

A rugged all round suit that is affordable without compromising the superior quality that the

brand is renowned for. The long johns and pants come standard with knee pads however there is discount

of 3 % for trousers instead of a Long John. A compact loading pad is incorporated into the inside neoprene of the jacket there by alleviating extra seams.

The Elite MOD. BASIK comes in three camo patterns, Silver/grey, Medit (Green/yellow) and the Devil (red/black).

The sizes range from 46 up to 56 with the 'L' indicating the extra length sizes (185-195 cm). There is an added 10% surcharge on all MOD . BASIK suits over size 56.
