    EliteCAD AR is produced as a model-orientated 3D CAD System. The model is directly linked to thecorresponding plans, sections and elevations. Any changes or definitions to the model can therefore be made inany of the views, whether in plan or perspective view. The presentation of these plans is carried out according tothe required display quality and standards. In Switzerland the SIA400 standard is used, in Germany the DIN1356, in Austrian the Standard of -Norm etc. You are able to create as many plans and modes ofrepresentation of the constructed model. All the plans and views remain associatively linked with the model so

    that any changes to the model its self will be transmitted to them all.

    EliteCAD AR includes a fantastic render engine, which can render a photorealistic image of your project withthe simple click of a button. Perspective views, Facades with text and interior views are computed to a highstandard using a ray-tracing technology. The precise light distribution is calculated through the use of theradiosity function and with this function creates realistic light conditions. If a change should be made to themodel, all the corresponding views, plans or mass-figures are automatically updated to match.

    PRESENT YOU VISION IN 3D CAD MODEL

    EliteCAD is based on parametric 3D building modelling. Parametritechnology allows complex 3D models to be constructed and modifiedefficiently and in detail. The 3D building model is connected to all plans, sthat any changes that are made to plans or to the model are reflected in theother and the resulting views are automatically updated.

    PARAMETRIC 3D DATA MODEL

    The Parametric is a technology in which all values of a component can be changed numerically or graphically andsubsequent or dependent parts are automatically updated. This allows the generating of complex 3Dcomponents to be individual and simple. Following this; partial or total information of a component can betransferred to a selection and adjacent components will react coherently to such changes. This results in a highdegree of planning flexibility and creative freedom. The application of this technology is widely used withinindustrial production and is presently available within EliteCAD AR for planners and architects.

    In EliteCAD, the plan and the model are closely interrelated. Concentrate on the development of the 3D modeland use the resulting elevations, sections and plans, together with perspective drawings. You can however alsoadd information for the model in elevations, plans and sections and these will appear in the model and in theresulting views.If you prefer to set up your project using plan views, this option is also open to you. Informationcan be added to the plans on the relevant screens. EliteCAD automatically aligns all the information entered andsupplies the resulting values to the relevant views. Model and plan views therefore remain up to date at all timesand you have all options open to you for your individual planning methods.

    When predefined material properties are assigned tovectorial solids, these will be displayed realistically and trueto the material in the subsequent image calculation. Materialproperties can contain pixel textures, colour values,physical properties, surface values, etc. and be assigned to aselection using drag & drop.

    Any desired textures can be stored in the database withstandard graphic formats. Properties such as scaling, level ofstretching and repetition, angle of rotation and display filterscan be graphically defined and checked in a preview.

    Standard colour values from the database in accordancewith M-NCS, M-RAL, RGB etc. and graphically supportedindividual definition options mean absolutely any colour

    choice can be catered for.

    Gloss, mirror factors, refraction indexes, surface roughness,transparency, etc. are just some of the properties that youcan assign to an interface in EliteCAD.

    With bluescreen technology, pixel-based plants or personscan be removed from their background and used in current

    visualisations. A light-emitting functionality is available fordisplaying of window strips, illuminated signs, etc.

    Radiosity and raytracing

    Radiosity is an upstream light calculation that distributes the light to and within a building according to physicalproperties and prepares it for the subsequent rendering process. For the calculation of light distribution, lightsources, sun and ambient light and emitting solids will be taken into account and communicated to the surfacesconcerned. During subsequent calculation with raytracing, all of the vectorial expansions, material and colourdefinitions, any background images and the results from the radiosity calculation in the model are all used forthe photo-realistic image calculation.

    Freeform technology can be used to represent everyconceivable type of construction in three dimensionsand to show the display depths in plans.

    Freeform surfaces are defined using extensive boundarycurves. Even after definition, the freeform surface canstill be modified by dragging handles. You use freeformsurfaces to model soft shapes such as those required forsofas, cushions, ground surfaces, sanitary equipment, etc.

    Design solids transform one polygon to a differentpolygon via one route. The basic definitions of the

    resulting solids can be modified with handles. Forexample, you can use design solids to model rampsand design objects.

    Trans solids are defined via a polygon that follows apath. Trans solids can be modified with handles ontheir definition

    lines. Trans solids allow you to define gutters andcustom railings, for examples.

    Forms cannot always be elegantly defined using directdefinitions. Complex solids can also be efficientlycreated with Boolean operations by combining orsubtracting multiple 3D definitions. Boolean operationsare associatively structured, meaning that theyautomatically respond to changes to the definitionsolids.

    After you have modelled a 3D solid, EliteCAD transfersthe correct representation of the solid to the plans. Howa solid is represented at the relevant scale is defined viathe settings for the display depth.

    Quantity determination by EliteCAD is based on a MySQL database and has bidirectionality from the modelthrough to the evaluation data. If you click on an element of the model, the resulting surfaces, lengths andmaterials will be searched for in the database and highlighted on screen. If you select a value in the database, it willbe graphically displayed on the corresponding component of the model. For traceability purposes, the relevantgeometry is available. All of which gives you an ideal overview and means your evaluation data is very reliable.

    The terrain module of EliteCAD allows point files in different formats to beinterpreted and converts them into a parametric 3D terrain model.

    Contour lines and points can be specified later on in the terrain module oreliminated; the terrain module updates itself automatically.

    Terracing functions let you define steep embankments, retaining walls or evenpoints in the gradient.

    The road building function enables three-dimensional planning of roads andpaths on the terrain based on spline curves.

    The excavation function enables the simulation of even the most complexexcavation situations with different angles of slope.

    The excavation volume is output numerically and can subsequently bedistributed on the terrain.

    Contour lines follow the defined equidistance, label themselves in order andare displayed as curves.

    The terrain module is fully integrated into EliteCAD and if required is alsorepresented in plans, sections, views, etc.

    We offer it as an add-on module. The terrain module is the ideal tool foraccurate planning of complex construction projects on difficult terrain.

    Visualization

    EliteCAD AR includes a professional visualization, with which internal and external perspectives as well asfaade views are rendered. Through the integration of visualization imagery is created, which always stays inrelation to the model, meaning that any change is automatically reflected in the model. Time and effort to applythe definitions are saved since the materialisation is already within the building model. Extra material definitioare simply applied to the model through drag and drop.

    Light

    The positioning of the light sources and light distribution is a keyissue in the visualization, because it determines how close to reality the image will present itself. Sunlight, fexample assumes a particular geographical location, day, time of year, and the alignment to produce a realistirepresentation. A hemisphere model simulates the diffused radiation, and the precise light distribution is calculatedthrough the use of radiosity.
