A dramatic increase of incidence of mycobacterial disease makes it more important than ever to find rapid methods for identification of AFB organisms. The current fluorescent techniques to identify acid fast organisms in smears take from 20-30 minutes to perform.

Reduced Process TimeUsing the new AFB-PRO™ with Rapid Modified Auramine O, process time is just over two minutes per test. This single slide machine delivers quality and consistency for every test. Counterstain quenches fluorescence of all non-acid fast organisms and debris resulting in a cleaner field of view. It is just as sensitive as other Auramine Stains.

The HemaPRO™ Slide Stainer represents a significant advancement in automated blood smear staining. It is a valuable addition to any laboratory, whether it is the primary stainer used by small hospitals, physicians labs, stat labs, or used as a stat/backup instrument in larger labs. The HemaPRO™ can also be utilized in veterinarian labs for a variety of biological specimens.

New Feature!In addition to the soft agitation before the rinse is drained, HemaPRO™ has an added soft agitation occuring before the buffer is drained. Through extensive testing we have determined this added feature produces a cleaner slide when using our modified Wright's Giemsa stain formula. The unit needs no daily maintenance and only requires a tubing change once or twice annually.
