We are Safe We are Respectful We are Focused ELERMORE ENDEAVOUR Term 4 Week 8 7 th December 2018 Dear Parents and Carers, Today your children will be taking home a very important note. Please check all backpacks (look out for squashed bananas) for a note about our Day of Celebration on Monday, 17 th December. We are very much looking forward to celebrating a year of fun, friendship and learning at our wonderful school. The day will commence with our formal Presentation Day Assembly at 9:30am followed by a family BBQ Picnic Lunch at 11:30am. To complete our Day of Celebration, our students, including preschool students, will be performing a range of Christmas songs and other items from 12:30pm. It is sure to be a wonderful day to share with our EVPS community. Full details are later in this newsletter. On Tuesday, 18 th December, the EVPS staff would like to invite all parents, carers, family and friends, who have volunteered at our school this year, to attend a morning tea in their honour. This special event will commence at 11:00am and will be held in our school library. Please sign in at the office upon arrival and make your way down to the library to enjoy a delicious morning tea. As the year rapidly draws to an end, I can’t help but reflect upon all the events of 2018. Stay tuned for a full report in our last newsletter for the year next Friday. Have a great week! Monday, 17th December 2018

“A Day of Celebration”

Dear Parents, Carers, Friends and Family,

You are invited to celebrate the achievements of our students at our:

Presentation Day Assembly

When: Monday, 17th December

Time: 9:30am

Where: The grass area in front of the library.

Additional Information: Students are asked to wear their full school uniform.

Seating for visitors will be provided, however, you are very welcome to bring a picnic blanket or camping

chair to suit your needs.

At the conclusion of the assembly, you are very welcome to stay for a:

BBQ Picnic Lunch

When: Monday, 17th December

Time: 11:30 (at the conclusion of our Presentation Day Assembly)

Where: Lunches will be delivered to your child’s classroom

Additional Information: BBQ Sausage Rolls, Steak Sandwiches and Veggie Burgers are available to order.

Orders are due on Thursday, 13th December and can be made at www.quickcliq.com.au or directly at the

canteen.

Of course, you are very welcome to bring your own picnic lunch on the day.

In celebration of a fantastic year of learning, fun and friendship, our wonderful students, including our

Preschool students, would like to entertain you with a

Christmas Concert

When: Monday, 17th December

Time: 12:30pm and will conclude at 1:30pm.

Where: The concert will take place on the verandah near the primary COLA.

Additional Information: Students are invited to bring in Christmas clothes to change into for the concert.

Teachers will send home an additional note with specific information concerning this.

All students will receive their end of year reports after the concert.

We hope that you will be able to join us on our day of celebration.

CAPA Chocolate Boxes

A friendly reminder to anyone who has participated in this CAPA fundraising,

that if you haven’t already done so, please return all money to the office ASAP.

Student Banking

The last banking day for this year is next Wednesday, 12th December (week 9). We are no

longer ordering rewards this year, as they will not be returned before the holidays. Your

tokens can be used next year. Thank you and congratulations to all our savers this year!

We wish you all a fun and safe Christmas break. See you next year for more saving, and

exciting news rewards and competitions!

Blue & Gold Day

The canteen will be open for business as ususal on Blue & Gold Day on Friday, 14th December. Students will be able to

purchase lunch from the canteen, however, no orders will be taken. A range of lunch item including, pies and sausage

rolls will be available for purchase.

Presentation Day BBQ

The canteen will be selling the following lunch options for our visitors and students on Monday, 17th December:

Sausage Bread Roll + Drink (water/popper) $4.50

Steak Sandwich + Drink $6.00

Veggie burger + Drink $5.00

These will be available via pre-order menu form being sent home this week or online at www.quickcliq.com.au.

Please make sure orders are placed online or returned to the canteen with your payment by Thursday 13th December.

P&C Volunteers Night

A volunteer’s night has been organised for Wednesday, 19th December at the Shaft Tavern from 5.30pm for drinks

followed by dinner.

We invite all our EVPS volunteers to attend! Whether you help in the Classroom, with Home Readers, Banking, Canteen,

Fundraising or any other volunteer capacity within our school community, we’d love to see you there.

Please RSVP by Friday, 14th December to [email protected] too allow us to secure an adequate space.

End of Year Canteen Facilities

The canteen will continue to reduce stock levels for the Christmas holiday period. The canteen will operate as normal

but will remove any items from the menu as they run out. This will be reflected in our online ordering system, QuickCliq,

and a list of unavailable items will be posted outside the canteen. Thank you for your understanding during this wind

down period.
