It is good to know so many of you are supportive of our plan to take our children away for an overnight stay. We can't wait to see it become a reality. Our children enj oyed their first full PE lesson. They showed us how independent they are becoming. They organised themselves really well, getting changed and then dressed again all by themselves. Thank you for your support with getting your children to school every day. Our attendance has been excellent this week - 99.2%! Fantastic, well done. It is very difficult for us to make sure they are looked after and not all children have toys to bring. Please help us by keeping these toys at home. Thank you.

Dear Parents,

Firstly can I say a big thank you to all those who attended our parents' meeting about our residential to Nell Bank. It is good to know so many of you are supportive of our plan to take our children away for an overnight stay. We can't wait to see it become a reality.

Our children enjoyed their first full PE lesson. They showed us how independent they are becoming. They organised themselves really well, getting changed and then dressed again all by themselves.

Thank you for your support with getting your children to school every day. Our attendance has been excellent this week - 99.2%! Fantastic, well done.

Our Learning this Half Term

Our topic for the first part of the term has still been ?Let?s Pretend. We will then be moving onto ?Houses and Homes? during WOW

week. We will be mainly focusing our activities each week around the different types of houses and homes that people and fairy tale characters live in. The topic will start with the story of ?The Three Little Pigs? They will look at the different materials that each house is made out of and which is the best to use and why. We will then

look at the similarities and differences between the types of houses within our local area. The children will have lots of

opportunities to talk about their own home and houses found in other countries.

The children are continuing to use ?Fred talk? to sound out unfamiliar words and then encouraged to ?Fred in their head? to

read words they are already confident with. Lots of opportunities to learn the daily sound will be placed in the provision in the

classroom for the children to access independently. All the sounds that the children learn are displayed around the classroom. Each day in phonics the children have time to practise forming letters

correctly that they have just been taught and also practising ones taught previously. Also as part of our Maths lessons the children

will be reciting one more and one less than any given number to 10 and beyond. We will also be looking at place value of numbers up

to 10. Thinking about different ways to make the number using the part, part, whole model.

Quick Reminders

- As the weather is constantly changing from sun to rain,

could we kindly ask that your child is sent to school in a

warm coat and that they have a pair of wellingtons in

school.

- Could we please kindly remind you to label all your

child?s clothing even items such as coats and shoes.
