TRANSCRIPT
The basic and essential tool of particle physics research is quantum field theory. Trying to understand particle physics without quantum field theory is like trying to understand atomic physics without quantum mechanics.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to teach quantum field theory properly here. We will cover some very basic knowledge of QFT. The purpose is to help understanding some basic properties of elementary particles and their interactions.
If you would like to have a career in doing research in particle physics, theoretical or experimental, you should take quantum field theory after this.
