  • There are several variations within Christianity, based mainly on sacraments: Sacramental traditions RC, Orthodox, Lutheran, some Anglican More formal, always involves Eucharist. Prayers and recitations are more standard Reformation traditions Baptist, Presbyterian, some Anglican More focus on Scripture readings has a more lengthy sermon Congregational hymn singing is a focus Eucharist is celebrated much less frequently

(e.g. The Divine Liturgies of St John Chrysostom and St Basil are the most common Orthodox liturgies) Orthodox liturgies consist of a Proskomedia (or preparation of the gifts, before the beginning of the liturgy), the Liturgy of the Catechumens (or The Word) and the Liturgy of the Faithful (Eucharist)
