elements, integrated circuits, including “Very-Large-Scale
Integration” (VLSI)

requiring specialized expertise
• High demand in Montreal’s aerospace industry for engineers having a systems perspective of an aircraft
– Mechanical systems being replaced with Electrical/Computer systems
• Concordia’s recognized leadership in flight control, avionics and aerospace in terms of teaching and research (first university in Montreal to have a flight simulator, first university in Canada to have an Institute for Aerospace Innovation - CIADI - placing undergraduate students in industrial stages)
