    6. Do it.7. Solve it

    Pre-lab 4

    1. Do it.2. Just a sketch, no need for the given numbers.3. Do it.4. Do it.5. Do it.6. Do it.

    Pre-lab 5

    Part I

    1. Assume Vbe = 0.72. Solve it.3. Use R B of (1)

    Part II

    In this part, if you need the value of , assume it is 100. The better is to use the of thetransistor that you used in the lab (you dont need to calculate values before the lab).

    1. Ignore I B 2. Ignore I B 3. Try your best; you will know the answer in the lab.4. Think about the effect of the small value of I B on the current, and the power

    dissipation that you need to reduce.

    Part III

    In this part, if you need the value of , assume it is 100. The better is to use the of thetransistor that you used in the lab (you dont need to calculate values before the lab).

    1. R B is R 1||R 2, and V B is the base voltage (ignoring I B).2. Solve it.3. Wait for the lab.4. Do it.5. Solve it. (a p = a v.a i)6. A rough sketch with no numbers.

    Pre-lab 6Part I and II

    Do it all, but just ignore number (3). You can use the same notes of Pre-lab 5-III.

    Pre-lab 7

    This is the most important pre-lab. You have to do it yourself and finish it all before the beginning of the lab. I will not help in this; you have to do your best. The two partners (oreven different groups) can work together to solve it.Use the circuit values of experiments5 and 6 as guidelines when you lose hope.In part III, think carefully if you will use C B or not.
