Basic Electric Panel (Basics of Electric Engineering)

The Basic Electric Panel was developed for the electrical engi-neering fundamentals of many professions.

4 mm sockets are arranged in a 19 mm grid on the plug boardfor the training set-up. Four sockets are connected to eachother conductively in each case.

This system offers the possibility of obtaining a training set-upalmost identical to the circuit diagram. Connections are reali-sed using 4 mm plugs and cables. All voltages required for thetraining set-up are integrated in the generator unit on the leftside. The voltage outputs are of a short-circuit-proof design.

This system is very well suited to training set-ups for directcurrent, alternating current and three-phase current technolo-gy.

On the engraved storage panel, the set of accessories for theBasic Electric Panel offers sufficient space for storing all plug-gable components.

The following subjects are dealt with:

• Electrical resistors

• Voltage sources

• Efficiency

• Parameters in AC technology

• Capacitor and coil in the AC circuit

• Transformers

• Electronics transformers

• Diodes

• Transistors

• Thyristors

• Operational amplifiers

Software - RCL - AC Technology

RCL - AC technology is a teaching aid for AC technology.

The user can select an example from a library with standardcircuits and observe the behaviour of this circuit when a swit-ching parameter changes. The displays are continuously upda-ted while the size of the parameter is being increased or redu-ced with the mouse buttons.

RCL - AC technology depicts the calculated variables as a fre-quency and phase response or as a UIS diagram and the vectordiagram. The parameters can also be adjusted by direct entry.

RCL - AC technology can be used by electronics professionalsand in technical lessons at schools and colleges for the purposeof broadening knowledge of the interrelationships in RCL circuits.

Software - Digital Technology

This software is a simulation program for digital circuits, withwhich external devices can also be controlled via an interface.See Page D.27 for the interface.

The circuits are drawn under Windows with standard modules, and the function can then be tested. During the test, it is pos-sible to display the signal levels of all lines, or observe themas a time diagram and table of values with up to 8 channels.

The list of instructions for PLC circuits can be generated. Thecircuit and time diagram can be labelled and printed.

When the program was being developed, particular importan-ce was attached to ease of use, a high operating speed andminimum hardware demands. The Help system can provide detailed information about allfunctions and components.
