Election Procedure IFLA MLAS Officers for the term 2013 – 2015 IFLA MLAS Standing Committee Members received together with the Agenda of IFLA MLAS Meetings during IFLA WLIC 2013 in Singapore the detailed document on Election Procedure (agenda attached – at the page 4-5) together with request to read it before arrival to Singapore: Elections of MLAS SC Officers for the next election period 2013 – 2015 Please read: http://www.ifla.org/officers-corner/election-procedure Silvia Stasselova/MLAS Secretary prepared blank Ballot Papers for the elections of MLAS IFLA Officers – both Blank Ballot papers are attached to the IFLA MLAS Election Protocol (at the page 6-8). As stated at the agenda of the meeting, regarding the topic 19. Elections of IFLA MLAS Officers for the next election period during the 1st MLAS SC meeting held on 17th August 2013 in Singapore Gerald Leitner/MLAS Chair officialy asked MLAS Standing Committee Members allowed to vote for their nominations for 2 positions of IFLA Officers: - IFLA MLAS Chair for the next election period 2013 – 2015 - IFLA MLAS Secretary for the next election period 2013 – 2015 MLAS Chair expressed his thanks to Silvia Stasselova/MLAS Secretary who served as IFLA Official for two election periods (2009 – 2011, 2011 - 2013) and due to election regulations can´t continue at the same position for the next election period. IFLA MLAS Standing Committee Members allowed to vote 2 nominated candidates for positions of IFLA Officers as follows: - Gerald Leitner for the position of IFLA MLAS Chair for the election period 2013 – 2015 - Barbara Schleihagen for the position of IFLA MLAS Secretary for the election period 2013 – 2015 There were not any other nominations for the positions of IFLA Officers. Therefore the prepared blank Ballot Papers for the elections of MLAS IFLA Officers was not necessary to use. Both candidates were elected by acclamation as follows: - Gerald Leitner re-elected to the position of IFLA MLAS Chair (election period 2013 – 2015) - Barbara Schleihagen elected to the position of IFLA MLAS Secretary (period 2013 – 2015) IFLA MLAS Elections Protocol written on 18th August 2013 in Singapore by
