    4.2 Target Market Segment Strategy

Visual TrainTM would be incorporating a number of tactics to attract their targetmarket segments. They are well aware that their line of business, which istarpaulin & t-shirt design and printing, doesnt really benefit on print ads for itsimage. The business will gain more recognition through word of mouth anddecides to employ the following strategies:

Networking. This method is necessary for solidifying Visual TrainTMsprofessional bonds with its affiliates especially those who have inspiredthem to pursue this career. This will be accomplished through handingout notices and bulletins announcing that they are already open forbusiness. So as to create contacts where in the business can be informedor inform new ideas that could maximize their workings. It is also a wayto be gain visibility and be truly a part of the industry.

Client Referrals. In here, the business will make it a top priority to servethe customers openly & affably, if possible befriend them. So as to createthat homey atmosphere which will make them go back to the firm and

give testimonies on how well served and treated they are in the shop.

Target Customer Acquisition. This will be based on research and statisticsin choosing the companies they will make their regular clients. Having acompany that patronizes a tarpaulin & tshirt printing service is a majorthing they usually need big boss signage and ads of which they wontmind paying sums on. As much as 10 companies would be good enoughbut the business is aiming for 15-30 or more companies to anchor themin the industry.

Promos. This will be the perk of the business. From time to time, thebusiness will tag freebies along with their production of tarpaulins & t-shirts per order like a free lollipop or treats that could pump thecustomers craving and lure them to order a shirt. These promos will onlylast for like a month or two per year it is good way to draw in customersand be stably distinguished. The market should also have a good time asthat will make the shop memorable to them.

    4.3 Service Business Analysis

Visual TrainTM is in line with the Graphic Design Industry. That field is broad &diverse in terms of services. There are freelance, home-based, & or establishedoutlets that could offer advertising, web design, clothing design, logo design &other amenities (identification, invites, etc.). The services of this kind of venture

are flexible and could be applied to any material fit for a canvas. As time lapsesthe profitability of Graphic Design business grow more and more popular and istrending to date. In its steady pace of growth it shall gain ubiquity not muchlonger.

Visual TrainTM would like to pop out among its rival business by devising a schemeto differ from these trends. They will think out of the box from the tried & tested.

    4.3.1 Competition & Buying Patterns

  • 8/3/2019 ELE10 - IT Tools for Business - Business Plan (Visual Train)

    11/19

In here, Visual TrainTM shall identify their close competitions and will study themso as they will come up with a strategy to beat them.

Freelancers: They are individual or a group of designers who intermittentlywork in-house or together with other companies. They usually get into variousfirms to get experience and can leave it if they will to pursue another. Most

likely, they are well trained & seasoned and can supply any sort of services.Having the caliber to design almost everything with their knowledge can givethem the capability of starting up an agency by themselves. They are nodifferent from Visual TrainTM being familiar with freelancing operations so theyploy to best these rivals.

Large Graphic Design Agencies: These agencies are the toughest competition. They have already gained much respect, fervor and recognition from thegeneral public. They are usually in demand in huge Advertisings. Theyre ontop of the chain as they have been in graphic design industry earlier than therest having increased produce of their services.

Mixed Media Agencies: These agencies that print on Shirts, mugs, greeting

cards, invitations are also a threat to Visual TrainTM they have some othermodes of services. They shant be taken lightly, Visual TrainTM would paralleltheir services when they are ready to upgrade their services.

All in all, Visual TrainTM is observing these companies to basically determine theirweak points and try to overcome them through acquiring all the necessaryknowledge there is in Graphic Arts.

Since the business is just starting up as of now, it is open to any possibility, thebusiness doesnt set any limits. It will follow the principle of Kaizen where inimprovements and developments will be free flowing no matter what state thebusiness gets to.

Visual TrainTM is wise enough to have secrecy on the steps they will undertake tobe on the lead of this trade. They have the tricks & mindset to rule this graphicdesign game needless to say. They will be ever calculating, assuming & brainstorming.
