Greetings, to the Grand Ole Western North Carolina Conference with humbleness of heart I share with you the ministry accomplishments of the historic Lincolnton District. This year marks the 125th year that the Lincolnton District has been in existence.

The Lincolnton District was the first established work in this region, which gave birth to the Western North Carolina Annual Conference. A rich legacy of Episcopal leadership have left their imprints upon various churches the late Rt. Rev. Milton A. Williams served the Moore’s Chapel AME Zion Church in

Lincolnton, NC for several years and the late Rt. Rev. George J. Leak served the Pleasant Ridge AME Zion Church. Both churches recorded their remarkable leadership and sacrifice. Before her elevation in 2008, Rt. Rev. Mildred B. Hines served the Waddell Chapel AME Zion Church Shelby, NC and later gave stellar leadership to St. Peters AME Zion Church in Gastonia. This district continues to give birth to a cadre of gifted and loyal Christians who serve the

local church as well as the connection. A medallion was created to earmark this moment in time and many will wear them this week.

I cannot thank the loyal pastors, district officers, and members of the Lincolnton District for the support you have given this year. You have run this race with tremendous courage, strength and dedication and I want each of you to know how grateful I am for your work. Each department has presented wonderful programs to foster spiritual growth and development and for your continued support and loyalty I am grateful.

One highlight this year was the Episcopal visit of Bishop George E. Battle Jr. during our Holy Week Revival. His Maundy Thursday message entitled “An Unexpected First Supper” challenged each of us about the level of service we give for the glory of God. The district was truly blessed.

Educationally, the pastors had a one-day retreat on the campus of Hood Theological Seminary and were led in a continuing course by the Dean of the Seminary-Dr. Virgil Lattimore. The topic of discussion was Substance Abuse Prevention. The day was packed with information as well as great fellowship.

I also want to thank the pastors who went beyond the call of duty and did extraordinary things this year such as: the windows, which were installed at Herndon Chapel, and the new carpet at St. Peters, and the new PA System at Rhyne’s Tabernacle. These are just a few of the great things accomplished. Additional

In closing, I want to thank our Episcopal leaders-Mrs. Iris Miller Battle and Bishop George E. Battle Jr.- for allowing me another chance to lead the Lincolnton District and the confidence granted unto me to compile the History of Dorothy Walls Conference and & Retreat Center. I have tremendously enjoyed completing that work. To my wife Mary, thank you for your support and encouragement throughout the year. I am truly appreciative for all you have done.

I believe when we serve God to the fullest we are apart of a great work that deserves our deepest devotion.

I must always say thank you to Presiding Elder George H. McNeely and the pastors of theLincolnton District, for your encouragement and your continued support.

Thank you to the District Officers; you are my sisters in Christ. Your faithfulness and dedication areevident of your commitment to the cause of mission. This department soars high because of you.

To the local church Presidents and Missionaires, words cannot express my sincere appreciation foreach and everyone of you. There are none who measure greater than you. Even when you becomediscouraged you continue to do the work that you were called to do. I know that sometimes thestruggle seems hard, but thank you for not giving up and believing that God will make a way.

I make the following report on behalf of the Missionaries of the Lincolnton District:

The Lincolnton District WH&OM Society has had a productive year. The local church societieswork hard to make a difference in the local church and in the community. They continue toencourage those in need both spiritually and physically.

July 26-July 28, 2013, the District Officers traveled to Montgomery, Alabama to participate in the WH&OM Leadership Training Seminar & YAMS 30th Anniversary Celebration. The teaching,preaching and workshops presented have equipped us to be better missionaries. Witnessing such amomentous occasion has renewed our passion for this mission journey.

Our Day Aside was scheduled for August 24, 2013 but was cancelled in an effort to allow everyone the opportunity to travel to Washington DC to take part in the historic 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington Celebration. We were blessed to be a part of such an awesome experience. At each Mass Meeting it is our goal to promote growth in the knowledge and understanding of God's plan for our lives. It is our desire to empower our Adults, YAMS, Youth and Buds by teaching the concepts of Christian mission and providing opportunities for participation in mission work.Our Quadrennial theme for the 2013-2014 year is Maximizing our Purpose through Christian Living. The workshop facilitators continue to motivate us through their teachings. They come prepared as they inspire us to continue growing in grace while utilizing our gifts and abilities to help build the Kingdom of God. To Rev. Amanda Anderson, Mrs. Mary McNeely, Rev. Anarah Henderson, Ms. Dottie Dingle, Mrs. Malaya Curry and all who sacrifice their time, resources, knowledge and wisdom for the cause of mission; thank you for all that you do.

Our first Mass Meeting was held on Saturday, September 14, 2013. The District Officers presented plans and programs for the upcoming year and disseminated information to the local churches. Mrs. Mary McNeely, our Mission Education Director introduced this year's component of our Quadrennial theme.Mission Sunday was observed across the District. Monies collected were forwarded to the Overseas Mission Department.

Our second Mass meeting was held on November 9, 2013 at Neely's Grove A.M.E. Zion Church. The YAMS were in charge of the devotion and presented a program uplifting the YAMS 30th Anniversary. They also collected paper products for the House of Mercy. The Buds of Promise annual project was held on the same day. The Buds collected items to donate to the children who are residents at the Battered Women's Shelter. Blankets, books, personal items, bath towels, washcloths were some of the items collected and transported to the shelter. Approximately 30 bag lunches were left over from the Mass meeting and they were taken to the shelter as well. The shelter staff was elated to receive such a large and generous donation of items.

On October 13,2013, the missionaries participated in the Crop Walk for Hunger, held at BelmontAbbey College.Mrs. Juanita Cumberlander and the Life Members observed Anna 1. Anderson Day with a DistrictProgram on October 13,2013 at Vestibule AME Zion Church, Rev. Tabatha Stanback was ourspeaker. Nine (9) people were stoled, two Life Matrons and seven Life Members.On the evening of January 30, 2014, the weather prediction was that the temperature would fall to a dangerous six degrees. Shelters were full to capacity but there were still many people who would have to endure the coldest night of the winter. We purchased twenty five blankets and rode through the streets of Gastonia looking for men and women with no place to stay warm. We distributed all twenty five blankets, but I am saddened to say that we were not able to give a blanket to everyone that we saw that night. but we prayed that God would protect them all from the bitter cold. There isso much work that needs to be done in the mission field here at home and overseas.

The YAMS were in charge of the Mary Gaither Meeks Agape Luncheon that was held on Feb. 15, 2014 at St. Stephens A.M.E. Zion Church. Mrs. Joanne B. Holmes, first elected general YAMS Coordinator, of the Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society of the A.M.E. Zion Church was the speaker for the occasion. The YAMS also presented an amazing "Parade of Tables". Awards were presented to the churches with the best dressed tables.The Annual Life Members Queen Pageant was held on February 23,12014 at the Bynum Chapel Family Life Center. Each of the sixteen participants was presented each with a certificate. Trophies were presented to the winners; Deborah Ellis of St. Stephens; Minnie Roberts of Waddell Chapel;

Lorene Womack of Adams Chapel and Charlotte James of Emmanuel Memorial. As always Mrs. Juanita Cumberlander and the local Life Members Chairman did an excellent job.

The Youth Department participated in the Mass Meeting on March 8th at Pleasant Ridge AME Zion Church. The Youth was in charge of the devotion and leading the Mass Meeting. The Youth and theBuds had a joint workshop where they had an opportunity to make a craft during the Mass Meeting. They discussed different types of crosses and what the crosses mean. The Youth and Buds created their own cross and decorated it. They were excited about what they had created presented it them to the congregation.

The District Officers attended the Women's Home and Overseas Missionary Society LeadershipTraining Institute March 27-30, 2014 at the Dorothy Walls Conference and Retreat Center, BlackMountain.

The Buds were in charge of the 4th Mass Meeting held on May 10, 2014. A promotion ceremonywas held for those Buds who are advancing to the Youth Missionary Society. Mrs. Malaya Curry,Youth Secretary greeted the Buds and pinned them with ribbons in their new departmental colors.

The Annual prayer breakfast was held on May 10, 2014 at St. Stephens A.M.E. Zion Church prior to our Mass Meeting. The local Supply Secretaries assisted Mrs. Brenda Friday with preparing an excellent program. Mrs. Mary McNeely, first lady of the Lincolnton District and former General Buds Superintendent was our speaker. The Supply Department continues to collect gift cards to support our A.M.E. Zion Church colleges.

Our district project for this conference year will support the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Gaston. The missionaries are collecting snack items and will present them to a member of the Club at our Annual Walk at Lineberger Park on May 31, 2014.

Most churches have organized societies, all departments continue to work tirelessly to carry out the plans established for the Lincolnton District WH&OM for the 2013-2014 Conference Year. Outreach Projects and Activities Sponsored by local Church Societies:

I was blessed to serve as the Mission Sunday speaker at Bynum Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church. I am grateful to the pastor and members for inviting me to share in this awesome service. Thank you, Rev. Anarah Henderson and the Missionaries of Trinity/Unity A.M.E. Zion Church for inviting me to share with you on your "Women In Orange" program. Please continue to pray for me as God continues to lift me to higher heights.Thank you to all of the Pastors and Members who have opened your doors to the Lincolnton DistrictWH&OM Society this conference year. You have greeted us with kindness, warmth and love. Your hospitality is second to none.We pray that God continues to led, guide and direct us as we continue on this journey. My heartfelt and sincere appreciation goes out to the District Officers, Local Church Officers, Rev. Dr. George McNeely, Mrs. Mary McNeely, pastors, missionaries and the entire Lincolnton District.I conclude my report by saying "God be merciful unto us and bless us and cause His face to shineupon us and give us peace".

CED Director - Lillian P. WilliamsWe the members of the Christian Education Department of the Lincolnton District are completing a very busy year. Our year began as usual with the Director's Workshop hosted at Rudisill Chapel AME Zion Church, Cherryville, NC. This year we had the privilege of being trained by Dr. Mary Love, Editor of the Department of Church School Literature, who explained and expounded upon the Quadrelmial theme "Rebuilding the Community".In October, we had our first mass meeting at Humphrey Chapel in Dallas, NC. In addition, we had district representation at the WNCC Sunday School Symposium held at Little Rock AME Zion Church, Charlotte, NC. In December we traveled to Texas for the Winter Meeting for Christian Education. I am pleased to say that we had seventeen persons participate this year. As Director I have attended at least 20 winter meetings and by far this Truthville 2014 was the most memorable.In January, we held our second mass meeting at St. Stephens AME Zion Church, Gastonia, NC. During this meeting we devoted teaching to the Deaconess. The department then shifted gears as we hosted several practices and workshops for the Western North Carolina Beautillion. In addition, we had the privilege to host the Beautillion at St. Stephens AME Zion Church, Gastonia, NC. This year we had nine Young Men of Zion represent the Lincolnton District. Congratulations to Mr. Jerimiah Ervin of the Lincolnton District who was the overall winner for the Young Warriors of Zion Joshua's Generation.

In April, the department had nine individuals to attend the Southeastern Regional Meeting in Lancaster, SC. During the month of May we convened with our Sunday School Convention at Neely's Grove AME Zion Church, Gastonia, NC. We had eleven churches to report. This convention centered on outreach ministry to the unchurched and oratorical skills among youth. We will continue to work with our children and youth in the next conference year.We are continually grateful for the directors and members of the Department of Christian Education. This year we have utilized technology with a Facebook page, email blast and newsletter by our own Angellica Sweat. Thanks to Mrs. Brenda Friday, Ms. Leondras Davis, Reverend Amanda Anderson, Ms. Nerissa Ijames, Mrs. Parthenia Friday, Mrs. Africa Otis, Mr. Winston Bagley and Reverend Anarah Henderson, Mrs. Mildred Sadler and our backbone, Rev. Dr. George H. McNeely. As we close this conference year, I want to thank the Lincolnton District for the privilege to serve.

I am very grateful for the opportunity to have served another year as Children's Director. Below is a briefdescription of my labors:• This year we began our teachings with "Zion Explains Holy Communion" by Dr. Helen Scott Carter.• Our second session focused on developing relationships with God. We utilized "I Can Talk with GodAnytime - A Child's Book on Prayer."• We continued teaching the children, as we focused on choices. Once again we utilized Dr. Carter'sliterature entitled, "Choices! Choices! Choices!"As we close this conference year, I pray that all I have endeavored to do has been a blessing to the children.

Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow!It is my delight to submit the report of the Departmental labors of the Youth Ministry upon the Lincolnton District Christian Education Department. This conference year we began to focus on the who's of youth ministry under the themes, "The Identity Project." Over a series of months, we have attempted to answer basic questions regarding how to cultivate lasting directors and workers in youth ministry.

1 Peter 2: 9 states, "However, you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, people who belong to God. You were chosen to tell about the excellent qualities of God, who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. "Before serving in any capacity it is essential that those desiring to offer themselves to various offices understand the role in which they should play within their church. Therefore, following Annual Conference, the Department took time to discover what it means to be called or a "chosen people" as it relates to youth ministry.Director VCYC - Angelica Sweat (continued)

Through leadership development, training and research, it was in this quarter that we established the remainder of our conference year and activities to follow. Furthermore, we took time to organize effective communications appropriate for 21st Century ministry. The Department continues to utilize our web site, Facebook group and Newsletter Blast.

On October 12, 2013, we began our series entitled Stand Up and Stand Out. These sessions allowed youth to share their opinions and beliefs while sharpening the oratorical skills. Following our October meeting, the Department hosted conference calls to hear from directors their needs and concems as it relates to youth ministry. Many directors emphasized the need of leaming how to reach their youth and build a relationship with them. In addition, we discussed the importance of churches being a safe place for youth to share their experiences.

As we end our conference year we take time to acknowledge and celebrate those who continue to participate. This year the Lincolnton District had five youth to go to the CED Winter Meeting held is Houston, Texas. Additionally, we had nine young men to become Young Warriors of Zion as they participated in the Westem North Carolina Beautillion. In efforts to promote higher education, we have

initiated the Young Leaders of Zion Award. This year ten children and youth from the Lincolnton district will be honored for their pursuit for academic excellence, athleticism and community involvement. In addition, we will celebrate those who graduate from high school and post-secondary institutions. This year we have 30 graduates of which 18 were youth! The Lord has continued to bring our youth into His marvelous light as they head off to do great things!

Director YACM - Nerissa IjamesThe Young Adult Department has continued to upbuild the Kingdom of God. Below is a brief description of our labors this conference year.We coordinated workshops for YACM at all District Mass Meetings. During our first mass meeting in October, Attorney Andrea Leslie-Fite spoke to us. In January, the YACM hosted a Roundtable Discussion. Lastly, we hosted the 2nd Annual District YACM Program in November at Rudisill Chapel AME Zion Church, the Rev. Trishaun Kendall delivered the word.

Director ACE - Rev. Amanda AndersonThe Adult Department continues to promote and supervise Christian training across the District. We received our mandate in our Directors meeting in August. We carried out that mandate through meaningful workshops, attending district and annual conference meetings, as well as, our regional and general conference level meetings.

During the month of October Attorney Andrea L. Fite presented a workshop for the Young Adult and Adult Christian Education Departments at Pleasant Ridge AME Zion Church, Gastonia, NC. In December we attended the Winter Meeting in Dallas, Texas. During the month of April we attended the Southeast Regional Meeting in Lancaster, SC. We conclude this conference year, as we participated in the annual Lincolnton District Christian Education Day at Neelys Grove AME Zion Church Gastonia, NC.We look forward to attending the Western North Carolina Annual Conference later on this year. Members of our district will receive stoles and be welcomed into the Assembly of Christian Educators on Education Night.

To Bishop George E. Battle, Jr., Senior Bishop and Presiding Prelate of the Piedmont Episcopal District and Missionary Supervisor Mrs. Iris M. Battle, The Reverend Dr. George H. McNeely, Presiding Elder, Lincolnton District, and First Lady Mrs. Mary McNeely, Missionary President Ms. Flossenia Sims, Reverend Wilbert Davis, host pastor, Connectional Officers, District Officers, District Conference Delegates, members and friends ofthe 125th session of The Lincolnton District Conference, greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. The Lincolnton District Lay Council wishes to make the following report of our labors this past conference year 2013-2014.

The Lincolnton District Lay Council traveled to Montgomery, Alabama for the 10th Quadrennial Lay Convention July 27-August 1, 2013 at which time Mr. Trubbie Leeper, a member of Neely's Grove AME Zion Church of the Lincolnton District, was reelected Treasurer for the Connectional Lay Council and William F. Manning, Sr., a member of Pleasant Ridge AME Zion Church of the Lincolnton District was elected Chaplain of the Connectional Lay Council.

The Lincolnton District Lay Council has been very active on the District by participating in revivals of local churches on the district, attending mass meetings of the local departments, attending check-up meetings, and leadership training for the Episcopal District. The Lay Council held Connectional Lay Day observance in October at Neely's Grove AME Zion Church and Mr. Ervin Reid, past President of the Western North Carolina Conference Lay Council was our speaker. Through efforts of the local church lay councils the district lay council was able to send an offer in the amount of $350.00 to the Connectional Lay Council. The District Lay Council has attended each WNCC Lay Council meeting held during this program year. The District Lay Council's Kwanzaa program continues to be successful and we also attended the Mountaintop Christmas program at Dorothy Walls Conference and Retreat Center in Black Mountain, NC.

The Lincolnton District Lay Council continues to support the District programs held by the District. Our elected officers for the coming year 2014-2015 are: William F. Manning, Sr./ President, Leandoras Davis/l't Vice President, Linda Faye Starnes/2nd Vice President, Essie Crawford/Secretary, Eric Davis/Treasurer, Lillian Williams/Financial Secretary, Lester WilliamS/Chaplain. We ask the prayers of the District as these persons continue to serve and lead this Lay Council. We also acknowledge Mrs. Cheryl Davis/Awards Chairperson, Mrs. Frances Griggs/We Care Chairperson and Kitchen Committee Chairperson for their efforts in serving. Our membership total for this year was 1056 members. The reports of St. Stephens, St. Peters, Neelys Grove, and Trinity/Unity local lay councils accompany this district report.

Rev. Carla Carson and Mrs. Dottie Dingle have worked well together this year. Rev. Carla Carson took on an awesome task as Home Mission President with little experience, but with the help of other committed persons has done well. Mrs. Dottie Dingle, Mrs. Shirley Hence and Maggie Galloway have made a very effective team and have enhanced the entire ministry. Mrs. Dingle has distinguished herself as a tremendous asset to the Lincolnton District and the Western N.C. Conference. For this we are deeply indebted.

This conference year we turned our focus on helping the Home Mission Department with all their endeavors.

Dottie Dingle and I have attended all Western North Carolina Conference Board meeting held during this Conference Year. Four Conference meetings were held during this Conference year. Each meeting was presided over by Ms. Mary G. Bonaparte, Western North Carolina Conference Home Missions President. Discussions during the meeting covered our duties, registrations, ads and dates for our final turn in of monies.

It is with much humility that I submit to the assembled body, the following report of the Lincolnton District Minister Spouses & Widow(er)s Fellowship of the Lincolnton District.

As we are sometimes referred to as the least preached to part of the congregation, so we serve as a support group for each other.

✦Lincolnton District Minister Spouses & Widow(er)s Fellowship meets each quarter.

✦Our Conference year got off to a good start with our organizational meeting which was held at the Jackson Cafeteria in Gastonia, NC.

✦ In November, we had our Annual Holiday Fellowship Dinner in the Bishops Dining Room at St. Stephens A. M. E. Zion Church. The evening was filled with fun and laughter, as we were entertained by Mrs. Thelma Horald, who is the president of the MSWF of the Statesville District.

✦Our March Fellowship and meeting were held at the Pleasant Ridge A. M. E. Zion Church in Gastonia, NC. At each of our meetings we try to do a "What If ”, which is a scenario where a situation has happened and there is a question as if or not it may have been handled properly or how would someone else have handled that situation.

✦ In April, the spouses and their husbands bowled at the Bowling Lanes in Gastonia, NC after which we met for lunch at Cheddars Restaurant.

Overall, we had a fulfilling year and we are presently preparing for the Conference MSWF to be held in Hickory, NC at the site of the Metro Center.

I want to thank, Presiding Elder George H. McNeely and the spouses of the Lincolnton District for allowing me to serve in this capacity.

This has been a great year for the St. Peter's Tabernacle A. M. E. Zion Church. I arrived in September of 2013 and found everything in place. The members welcomed me and were willing to work and follow leadership. We had a baby contest that had been put in place by our Presiding Elder that was a great success. All of our Church programs have been wonderful because the members love God and their Church. We now have a CD DVD ministry that people can purchase for $3.00 and the sick and shut in receive at no charge.

We started a 12:00 noon and 7:00pm Bible Study that is open to anyone. Our last big project was to put carpet in our Church before hosting the District Conference and we made it. We have plans to put some buildings on our property on Broad Street next year. My greatest joy this year was to have this Church surprise me for my birthday by chartering a bus and coming to Greensboro, North Carolina to support me while I was in revival.

Highlights:

Pleasant Ride has had another successful year of fruitful ministry. From July to the present this ministry has not experienced a dull moment. The church has been actively engaged providing various types of ministry for the local congregation, the district, conference, and the community. Again, we have won more than 25 persons during the year and experience 40 conversions. We suffered two losses in the Late Mrs. Mildred Hueitt and John Gardin, Sr.

The highlight’s of this year was the release of Journey of Lent. This wonderfully scripted bookproduced by the congregation of Pleasant Ridge became iconic. The writers of the church shouldbe commended for a job well done. Also the new children's book called Jacob goes to churchwas shared with the church and the community. Mrs. Thelma Howell, enabled 30 books to besent to children in Kingston, Jamaica-West Indies through her sponsorship. Pleasant Ridge held a community outreach program which featured the Recording Artist and Pastor, Marvin Sapp with 12 people giving their life to Christ. This was an awesome worship experience! Also our efforts combined with the friendship Baptist Church to produce a CD entitled Word, Witness, and Worship. With all of these things, nothing could be more powerful than the miracles we witnessed this year. I am more than grateful for the outpouring upon the people of God. I trust and hope all the lives and homes which were touched, will never forget the door, which were opened, the ways, which He provided, and the lives, which were saved as a result of God's goodness.

I want to commend the membership for reenergizing your giving. Your financial supportreally helps the ministry to complete all of our responsibilities. You labors have really shined andwe are grateful to you for your work. Let us remember that every praise inspires commitment and without commitment greater work cannot be accomplished.

I am thankful to God for his many many blessings. This year we have focused on being a true follower of Christ. We have put our focus on being a follower of Christ, tithing and giving back to the community. I have witnessed spiritual growth, and increase in tithing.

We had some major repair completed due to leakage from our steeple. All work has been completed. For our first year together, I have been blessed by God. Work is continuing to be done on the parsonage to get it ready to be rented.

The Waddell Chapel Church family has been striving for excellence throughout this conference year. Each organization and each member of that particular organization have participated in the success of our church.

We began the year with our fall revival and received spiritual nourishment and were well received by the community. We sought to attend others church revivals forming relationships in the community. The Missionaries lead by Lou London served us by having our Birthday Rally Tea and Luminary Project giving members the opportunity of honor their loved ones. Our missionaries are so proud of the Life Members Department and contest winner Mrs. Minnie Roberts for a job well done. Margret Love and Lay Council participated in the District Kwanza Table contest and the Lay Council Membership Drive. The Local Boosters have attended meetings, hosted a meeting and have satisfied District askings also participating on a district and conference level. Waddell is proud to announce Ms. Jean Scales as the Woman of the year and Mr. Robert Miller as Man of the year. Christian Education Department as continued to grow through Sunday School under the leadership of Director Brother Willie Givens and Sunday School Superintendent Stephen Wingate. Our Usher Department is led by Alvin Tucker. Our children worked hard this year singing, ushering and participants Horasio Anderson represented Waddell Chapel in the Lincolnton District's Black Heritage Program and Tyrese Tucker in the Beautillon. 12 Tribe Rally was a success and a highlight of the year as the ladies remaining faithful filling for the lack of available men. Our host of volunteers had there hands full this year with a host of programs and funeral and performed beautifully many times under pressure and short notice. Ms. Lattage Carouthers and Deaconess have a strong presents and are continuing to serve. We are saddened to report the deaths of Sister Donice "Peaches" Walls, Mr. Carson J. Lipscomb, and Ms. Mildred Thompson but also rejoice in knowing that if we live right we shall see them again.

It has been both a privilege and an honor to serve the congregation of the Trinity Unity AME Zion Church. I thank God for the opportunity to serve His beloved in this capacity. Everything we have done has been done only through His divine grace. At the onset of the 2013-2014 conference year we endeavored to complete the legal aspects related to the merger between the Trinity and Unity. September 25, 2013 marks the official merger of the two societies.

All deeds have been combined and formal documents have been amended to reflect the newly formed Trinity Unity AME Zion Church. As well the new name has been registered with the state of North Carolina. As well funds from the building fund brought forward from Unity were used to liquidate a portion of the mortgage on the former Trinity site. God has blessed His people with a lower interest rate and I’m in 5 years or less. It was the vision and foresight of our presiding elder Rev. Dr. George H. McNeely monthly payment and outstanding balance. The goal is to have the outstanding mortgage balance cleared to merge the two societies. We thank God for the visionary spirit and guidance of our leader during this process.This year we have also paid off our church van, upgraded the kitchen and fellowship hall, and purchased an updated sound system. God is good all the time!Bible study and Sunday school are well attended. Training is an essential part of the success of any ministry, therefore, we have implemented a new member's orientation course of study, a deaconess study group, and a stewardess study group. We hope to expand our diversified studies to include all ages and stage from the cradle to the grave.I could go on and on about what the Lord has done. It has been a fruitful year! The friends and family of the Trinity Unity AME Zion Church are an amazing group of people. Again, I thank God for the opportunity to serve him as their pastor.

Highlights:• Christian Education It is the life of the church and is one of our areas of emphasis. We have an

active Sunday School Dept. with the Sunday School Department slowly getting back on track by the returning of some members and children.

• Breakfast is being served every Sunday morning before the beginning of Sunday School. Bible Study is held on Tuesday evenings. Our prayer is to promote togetherness in the church family as well as the community by utilizing the Class Leaders more in contacting their members and urging them to attend (Sunday School Bible Study).

• School supplies and backpacks were given to children and youth in the community. Bible School was held late summer of 2013. Members, children and youth took an outing to the Concord Mill Aquarium for the day in April.

• The Christian Education Department has sponsored several functions to help promote togetherness in our church family. We held the Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. 's Breakfast Celebration in which Rev. Dr. Andrew Smoke was the speaker. Our children/youth are in charge of morning services (4th Sundays) of each month.

• Our church sponsors a GED program from Cleveland County Community College. The program is housed in the Family Life Center.

• Every 4th Sunday, we recognize members who celebrate birthdays for the month with a birthday party immediately after morning services.

• Board of Evangelism - "Red and White" Ball (Valentine weekend) which involved the community and surrounding area churches with an evening of food, music, fashion show, door prizes and most of all the fellowship. This event is sponsored by the Evangelism Board.

• The Missionary Departments of Bynum Chapel observes each of its Anniversary Days. Sis. Kytrina McCluney (President of the Missionaries at Bynum Chapel) represented Bynum Chapel as our Queen for Life Member's pageant. Mother's Day program held Sunday morning with Mrs. Mary H. McNeely as our guest speaker.

This has been very successful year for us hear at Vestibule A.M.E. Zion Church. We started the year off our Annual VBS. The Christian Education Department did an outstanding job and each evening was well attended.

In July we held our Annual Revival, this year during Youth Night 4 young persons gave their life to Christ. The Church was filled with youth and Rev. Kenston Jones delivered a powerful message.During this year we have taken in 10 new members and many others have come back to be a part of our Worship Experience. Each Sunday Morning our choirs render such awesome music and set the atmosphere for the Holy Spirit to flow. To God Be the Glorylll

For the first time in October we held a Tailgate Party as a Fundraiser, however this turned out to be more than a Fundraiser, it was one of if not the best fellowships. People continue to talk about it today and are looking forward to next years. We have observed all special days and made our financial reports to each organization. We come to this district conference having met all our obligations to both the District and Annual Conferences. A special thanks to the hard working people of the Vestibule A.M.E. Zion Church. This report wouldn't be possible without you.

We were able to replace our old copier and printer this year, we also purchased a laptop for ourfinancial office. We are in the process of getting bids to replace all the carpet in our fellowship hall and in the offices and back hallway of church. It is our hope and prayers that we can have this done before Annual Conference.In closing I must say thanks to God for His Glory, to our Bishop and Presiding Elder for theirtrust. Thanks to Vestibule for their continued support and love. And finally to my wife Joyce and granddaughter Janari for sharing me while I to do Ministry.

God continues to bless Rudisill Chapel. Spiritual growth is evident as well as numerical growth. Our Bible Study and Sunday School departments are alive and well. Worship services continue to be spiritually uplifting and very vibrant. All departments have worked diligently to enhance the kingdom of God. We have made physical improvements to our building that includes painting, repairs to bathrooms, and work to stop water leakage in the basement. We are thankful to the Lord for His unmerited favor this conference year. We are currently working with the area community leaders and pastors of Cherryville to produce a community revival entitled "Why Not Us Lord" to be held August 11-14, 2014 to win lost souls for Christ, to strengthen and encourage the weak and heavy burdened, and to heal the brokenness in the Cherryville community.

I continue to avail myself to the Lord to work for the building of His kingdom. I have used my gift of teaching to facilitate workshops for the Lincolnton District Department of Christian Education and the WHOMS. I was invited to share with senior semiary students at Gardner-Webb University on "African American Worship from a Female Perspective". It has been a productive year in ministry and I am blessed to have been able to carry out the mandate of Christ at Rudisill Chapel and the surrounding area.

Humphreys Chapel is a good church with some of the best members in Zion. I pray that God will continue to bless the minishy and all who walk through the doors.

Highlights:

• a Panther Day-wearing our team colors and each member paying 10 cent for each year of our age. The funds collected were donated to our shut-in-members.

• During the advent season we lit candles, read scriptures and songs for the AM worship Service.• Presented Christmas play, lunch and treat bags for members, community and friends in the nursing

homes.• Our black history programs was great Red Sunday; African attire; old fashion day; poor man's

luncheons valentine treats for member and friends of other church. Our barbeque fund raiser, the best bar-b-que of the South prepared by our non member/ every Sunday attendee.

• Our Youth has been outstanding this year and we are very supportive of them. • Some accomplishments; learned the books of the Old Testament; youth usher shoe rally;

participated in sports; won dance contests; A,B,honor rolls; college students inducted in honor society; dean list participated in Sorority functions; girls on the run; church school convention; summer camp Dorothy Wall Retreat Center; and other church/District events.

• Celebrated "Pink" Sunday by serving pink treats, dressed in pink and gave out pink fans.• Presented our Mothers a gift made by the youth Class.• We were so blessed to have received $3,000 from the Home Mission. We spent our money wisely.

We have enjoyed this year working with the spirit fill members at Wesley's Chapel. Our worship service has been lifted to higher heights. We have had many treats for our youth including guest speaker, concerts, 41 Sunday worship service, etc.

We have also shared our focus in the community with all out reach service and training. We are so fired up for Christ to service others. And I'm looking forward to servicing again at Wesley's Chapel.

Once again the lord has truly blessed Herndon Chapel another conference year. We came back continuing to do repairs on the church. The chairman of the Trustees, Mr. James Herndon along with Mr. Kim Knox continues to make other improvement to enhance the beauty of the church and the yard. The lord blessed us with 1 new member to add to the household of faith. Other highlights were our annual programs that took Herndon Chapel to a spiritual level. Using for our conference theme: “Shifting the Atmosphere”.

• The Deaconess Program - The Deaconess Board Celebrate their annual day with a shoe rally. They attended the District Deaconess workshop and consecration.

• The CED Dept. - The month of February, black history the youth delighted the church with reports, old spirituals, old time dress and a fellowship dinner. They held their first Passion Conference, with 3 powerful young preachers. Collected items for child advocate center, back to school supplies. And also took part in our window campaign.

• Missionary Dept. - were blessed to paid all their asking out at the last Mass Meeting. They took part in a outreach ministry, with workers from the City of Charlotte utility dept. in collecting clothes, shoes and other items that was sent to Africa, for women.

• With the help from the home mission, we were able to repair, the kitchen floor. On March-the 31, they started to install out stain glass windows, and on April 4, 2014 they were fully installed and paid for in full. They have brightened up the church, and the spirit of God's people. We are now making plans to do more repairs around the church as we plan for the dedication of our windows in August.

As part of our outreach, the Evangelism Board was responsible for adopting White Manor Nursing Home. Every 4th Saturday members of our church family attend the nursing home, sing, fellowship, pray, and someone preaches a sermonette. We also bring needed items such as tissue, paper towels, water, and green tea. During the Christmas holidays, we had a very special event where the Buds and the board of evangelism bought Christmas gifts for the staff and residents. The church family also supplied fruit bags. Our youth choir also sang Christmas carols duringthis event.

Not only have the member been a blessing to the nursing home, but have had many spiritually empowering programs at Adams Chapel. Here are just a few of them: • The ushers had their annual program on October 13, 2013. • On October 20, we worked with a neighboring church and had a Fall Festival. We invited everyone

from the neighborhood and our churches for food, fellowship, fun, and a sermonette. • We had our annual Women's Conference on November 16, 2013. • We also had a clothes drive away in December. • The Buds collected throws for the Women's Shelter for Christmas. • We had a very successful Friends and Family Day program on February 16, 2014. • The Gospel Choir had a concert on Mach 23. • The WH&OM Society had a Missionary program in April and Mrs. Mary McNeely was the speaker.

Oh!!! What a year it has been to love and serve the chnrch family of Links Chapel this conference year! Upon my arrival I found Links in a good and stable condition as a whole. I was received with open hearts of joy and gladness, although I was somewhat perplexed. Yes, a new bond and relationship was established and nurtured. God nurtured me as I entered into this marriage of love and friendship with His children of peace .. Awake, my soul, Awake, 0 harp and lyre! I will awake the dawn. I will give thanks to you, Oh LORD. Links Chapel is a happy people and servants of God. "Praises be to the Lord." The church structureis in good condition but, on the lower level there is water damage to the men and women's restroomswhich warrants immediate attention and drain pipes need to be laid underground; it is an estimated cost of $4,787.00 for complete repair. Tennites have also been detected and estimated cost is $1,600.00.We've observed all Atmual Days as outlined in the AME Zion Discipline. Rev. Charles Tillett and St.Stephens Church family kicked off our Annual Fall Revival. The Reverends Henry Hall and John Housze along with their dynamic choirs blessed the house with anointing preaching and singing for our. Souls were revived and blessed. Family and Friends Day was another highlight of the year. Rev. Clarence Roberts and members of Union Bethel A. M. E. Zion Church blessed us spiritually. Our Bible Study is enlightening and powerful. To God be the glory! We were blessed with seventy-seven (77) visitors this year.

Young's Chapel continues to roll on even with the numerical and monetary challenges it has. There are structural issues that need to be addressed. The focus of our ministry emphasized doing unto others as you. Below are a highlights from the year.

Highlights:The following improvement was made to our church:- Replaced damaged ceiling tiles in the sanctuary.- Repaired NC unit in the fellowship hall.- Repaired Heating unit in the sanctuary.• The Christian Education Department shares information with the congregation on the Church Seasons, Annual Days, etc.; and our Sunday School has been well attended.• The Missionary Department celebrated all annual days; supported all District fimctiolls and supported our local church.• All Departments supported the District and Conference functions.

The church continues to have a spirit filled year. A young man joined our church this year and is seeking prayer because he wants to know God personally. The entire church is supporting him. Below are highlights of the conference year:

• On August 18th, we hosted a huge Back to School Extravaganza at Bums High School in Lawndale, NC. We invited a few community churches to join in by bringing their youth, bringing school supplies and helping to grill the food. A large crowd turned out and everyone enjoyed food, music, games, fellowship and retrieved backpacks full of supplies!

• On October 2ih, we held a Day of Homecoming. Rev. Dr. William McKenith, pastor of Marable Memorial AME Zion Church, was the speaker. This was a wonderful program in which Emmanuel and our guests were blessed in a mighty way.

• In December, Courtney King, a young adult member of Emmanuel, participated in the Christmas on the Mountaintop dinner musical at Dorothy Walls Conference & Retreat Center in Black Mountain, NC. Courtney expressed her gifts and talents by presenting an original poem called "Tis the Season." Also in December, we had a Christmas program in which poetry and speeches were read. Dinner was held following morning service, along with the distribution of gifts and candy/fruit bags.

• In February, Emmanuel participated in the Lincolnton District's Annual Life Member's Pageant at Bynum Chapel Family Life Center. Our Charlotte James was crowned "queen" for our category!

• On April 13th, Emmanuel had our Family & Friends Day. Rev. Amanda Anderson, pastor of Rudisill Chapel AME Zion Church was our guest speaker. An awesome time was had in the Lord during that program.

• On May 2nd, we had our first Women's Conference in conjunction with Rudisill Chapel AME Zion Church and Waddell Chapel AME Zion Church. The first meeting was held at Waddell Chapel and was officiated by Rev. Amanda Anderson.
