Gosodwch ddarn mawr o bapur neu gynfas gwely ar y llawr tu allan. Casglwch eitemau mawr crwn all y plant ddefnyddio i brintio â phaent neu fwd. Beth am gaeadau a gwaelod sosbenni o’r gegin fwd, plunger a photiau planhigion? Gallwch ddefnyddio’r papur/ cynfas printiedig fel cefndir deniadol i arddangosfa neu collage neu beth am ei ddefnyddio ar gyfer adeiladu den?

cylchoedd. Pan glywir y chwiban/offeryn cerdd, bydd angen iddynt gamu mewn
i’r cylch hwla agosaf.

Dyma ffordd wych i’r plant ymarfer eu sgiliau modur mân wrth droi’r troellwr ac arllwys
paent i mewn i’r daliwr. Mae’n gyfle i gymysgu lliwiau a chreu patrymau hyfryd. Beth am ddefnyddio’r platiau lliwgar i greu collage
mawr i’w roi ar y wal?
Grwpiau bach o blant gydag un plentyn yn sefyll yn y canol yn dal llinyn hir a darn o sialc ar y pen arall i’r llinyn sy’n cael ei ddal gan blentyn arall. Wrth i’r plentyn gyda’r sialc gerdded o gwmpas mewn cylch o gwmpas y plentyn sy’n dal pen arall y cortyn gall greu amlinelliad o siâp cylch ar y llawr. Yna gall y plant i gyd gerdded o gwmpas y cylch sawl gwaith, yna neidio,
sgipio a.y.y.b. Beth am ddefnyddio cortyn o feintiau gwahanol a sialc o wahanol liwiau a phawb i gael cyfle i greu cylch yn eu tro?

hwla fel targed. Ydi’r plant yn medru taflu’r bagiau ffa i mewn i’r cylchoedd? Beth am gasglu
amryw o wrthrychau a’u gosod fel bod y plant yn gallu taflu’r hwla drostynt ac efallai ennill
gwobr - fel yn y ffair?

ac allan o’r cylchoedd o wahanol feintiau – faint o blant sy’n ffitio i mewn i’r cylch glas/ coch? Pa un yw’r cylch mwyaf/lleiaf?
Tip: ychwanegwch ychydig o ddŵr i’r paent fel ei fod yn symud yn haws ar draws y plât papur.

Casglwch amrywiaeth o gaeadau poteli, jariau ac ati. Gallwch eu defnyddio ar
gyfer amryw o weithgareddau i gadw’r bysedd bach yn brysur, e.e. creu lluniau, cyfri a dosbarthu fesul lliwiau/meintiau, neu greu patrymau. Mae’r opsiynau yn

Dyma gêm sy’n hen ffefryn traddodiadol. Dewiswch un plentyn i chwarae rôl Mistar Blaidd. Mae’r plentyn yn troi ei gefn ar weddill y plant sy’n creu llinell ym mhen draw’r iard chwarae. Yna mae’r plant yn gofyn ‘Faint o’r gloch yw hi Mistar Blaidd?’ ac mae Mistar Blaidd yn ateb ‘Pump o’r gloch’, neu ‘Dau o’r gloch’ ac yn y blaen. Bob tro y bydd Mistar Blaidd yn ateb, bydd yn rhaid i’r plant gymryd y nifer hynny o gamau ymlaen tuag ato e.e. pump o’r gloch - pum cam ymlaen. Pan fydd Mistar Blaidd yn penderfynu ei bod hi’n ‘Amser cinio!’ bydd yn troi ac yn rhedeg at y plant gan geisio eu dal ac mae’n rhaid i’r plant redeg yn ôl i’r lle ddechreuon nhw cyn i Mistar Blaidd eu dal nhw. Bydd y plentyn cyntaf i gael ei ddal yn troi’n Mistar Blaidd a’i dro ef/hi fydd bod yn Mistar Blaidd yn y gêm nesaf.

chi’n defnyddio olion traed teganau anifeiliaid i greu print traed yn y tywod. All y plant ddyfalu pa anifail
sy’n gyfrifol am y gwahanol olion traed?

Lay a large sheet of paper or an old bed sheet on the floor outside. Collect large round objects that the children can use to print with paint or mud. How about lids and the bottom of saucepans from the mud kitchen, plunger, and plant pots? You can use the printed paper / bed sheet as an attractive backdrop for an exhibition/collage or for den building.

Moving game – Lay and scatter several hula hoops on the ground. You will
need a whistle or a musical instrument. Ask the children to run around the hoops. When the whistle / musical instrument is heard,
they will need to step into the nearest hula hoop.
Why not jump in and out of a
hula hoop?
Creating circles
Keep fit
You will need: paper plates, a salad spinner and plenty of paint.
This is a great way for the children to practice their fine motor skills by turning the spinner
and pouring paint into the holder. It’s a chance to mix colours and create beautiful patterns. Why not use the colourful plates to create a
large collage to put on the wall?
Throwing game – Use the hula hoops as a
target. Can the children throw the beanbags into the hoops?
Why not collect a variety of objects and place them so that the children can throw the hula
over them and maybe win a prize - like at the fair?
Tip: add some water to the paint so that it moves around more easily across the paper plate.
Collect a variety of bottle lids, jar lids and so on. You can use them for various
activities to keep the little fingers busy, e.g. create pictures, count, and group them by similar colours or sizes, or create patterns.
The options are endless! As Christmas approaches, why not use the lids
to create an unique Christmas card?

Small groups of children with one child standing in the middle holding a long piece of string, and a piece of chalk at the opposite end of the string held by another child. As the child with the chalk walks in a circle around the child holding the other end of the string, he/she can create an outline of the shape of a circle on the floor. The children can then walk around the circle several times, then jump,
skip etc. Why not use various lengths of string, and different coloured chalk and everyone to have a chance to create a circle in turn?
Then let the children jump in and out of the different sized circles -
how many children can fit into the blue / red circle?

Decorating an umbrella
Go for a walk to look for different shapes around the Cylch Meithrin.
Which shapes can the children find? Why not take photos of what you saw and create a small book
of different shapes?
Place sand in a tuff tray on the floor outside. Each child in turn to step into the sand to make a shoeprint in the sand. Do some shoes have a pattern on their soles? Discuss the shapes and pictures on the children’s shoes. Then after everyone has had a go you can
ask a small group of children to put one foot in the sand to make a shoeprint then everyone
to move around the tuff tray. Does everyone remember who’s shoeprint belongs to who in the sand? Discuss size, shape, pattern.

As a variation of the above you can ask the
children to turn their backs whilst you use
footprints of animal toys in the sand. Can the
children can guess which footprint belongs to
which animal?

This is a game that is a traditional favourite. Choose one child to play the role of Mr Blaidd. The child turns his/her back on the rest of the children who create a line at the far end of the playground. The children then ask ‘Faint o’r gloch yw hi Mistar Blaidd?’ and Mr Blaidd answers ‘Pump o’r gloch’ or ‘Dau o’r gloch’ (Five o’clock’, or ‘Two o’clock’) and so on. Every time Mr Blaidd answers, the children will have to take that many steps towards him. e.g. five o’clock - five steps forward. When Mr Blaidd decides it’s ‘Amser cinio!’ (‘Lunchtime!’), he turns and runs towards the other children trying to catch them and the children have to try to run back to where they started before Mr Blaidd catches them. The first child to be caught turns into Mr Blaidd and it is his / her turn to play Mr Wolf in the next game.

‘Faint o’r gloch yw hi Mr Blaidd?’ Why not collect small objects to glue, sew or tie on to an umbrella? The
children can decorate each umbrella or work together to decorate one large sun or golf umbrella. When the rain comes it will be wonderful for children to shelter under their umbrellas. What happens if the decorations fall off the umbrella in the rain? The children can discuss
why and how to solve the problem and maybe adjust the plan next time.
