(AEHA)(AEHA)(AEHA)(AEHA) will be launched in 2009 with the support of the European Headache Federation (EHF). With the objective of recognising their work, neurologists or trainee neu-rologists at Neurology Departments in Belgium, France, Italy, Portugal
and Spain will be invited to partici-pate and submit challenging clini-cal cases of headache and mi-graine. Each specialist will be al-lowed to present one clinical case as a primary author. Each case will be submitted online to a web-site and will be evaluated by a
of management of common headache disorders in primary care”. The general diffusion and daily use of these aids will be able to accelerate the headache control process for both epi-sodic and chronic patients with unfavor-able access to spe-cialized health struc-

TTTT he European Headache Federa-tion (EHF) dedicates its efforts to
improving awareness of headache disorders and their impact amongst governments, health care providers and consumers across Europe. At the end of 2007 World Health Or-ganization guarantied its approval to a document “Aids for management of common headache disorders” realized by the European Headache Federation in collaboration with Lift-ing the Burden: The Global Cam-paign to Reduce the Burden of Headache Worldwide. These guide-lines have been published in a Sup-plement of The Journal and Head-ache and Pain in order to obtain widespread diffusion, ant his was the case counting the thousands of download obtained by the docu-ment. The collaborative arrange-ment between WHO and WHA, IHS and EHF provided an input to create the aids for management of com-mon headache disorders in primary care namely “European principles

The first number of the newsletter of the European Headache Alliance (EHA) has been recently published and is available for download at the website www.european-headache-alliance.eu. It contains the sum-mary of the main activities of EHA for 2008: the report of the Meeting
of the Spanish Headache Association, which was held in Madrid in April; the scientific report and the account of the lay events that took place in Lon-don for the first European Headache
and Migraine Trust International Con-gress and, finally, a full description of the European Migraine Day of Action in September in Ireland, with the participation of the Irish Minister of Health.

panel of international headache specialists. This Scientific Commit-tee will be composed of the follow-ing Professors: Fabio Antonaci (Italy, Chair), Koen Paemeleire (Belgium), Dominique Valade (France), Lidia Savi (Italy), Pereira Monteiro (Portugal) and José
Miguel Láinez (Spain).
This academic board will be re-sponsible for the selection of a maximum of 15 clinical cases for oral presentation in the AEHA Fo-rum in which approximately 40 participating specialists will be in-vited. All the cases presented will be published and the fifteen final-ist cases will be published as a supplement in the Journal of
Headache and Pain.
The Scientific Committee will choose the best three clinical cases that will receive different prizes. Shortly we will let you know what
