    MPFI: what to do.

    Yo ae going o e o ock engine hane a he bae of o "hbid" hane. No he engine hane ha came on

    he moo, an Si o Hf hane (nle o ca i an Si o Hf), o a B18a hane (no een ih a B18a). Thi i a common

    miconcepion. People ala an o e a ock MPFI hane. The poblem i ha i doen ok nle o an o

    epin he conneco ha connec i o he ca hane. IMO ha old be a lo of ok.

    The engine hane o go ih o moo i going o be ed fo pa. Yo need he injeco plg (I c he ie a fa

    back in he dono hane a I can o I don hae o do an lenghening), he injeco eio plg (don een c i off he

    injeco plg, j ace i back), and he diibo plg. In addiion o he plg off he dono hane o need an injeco

    eio bo. Thi bo can come o of an OBD0 ciic o inega.

    Connec he 2 ello/black ie on he DPFI hane (fom he old injeco) he ello/black ie on he injeco

    eio plg.

    De-pin he Diibo plg fom he MPFI hane (ecep he ble geen and ble/ello ie. C hoe a oill e hem lae) and WRITE DOWN hich colo ie en hee. Then de-pin he DPFI diibo plg and

    p he MPFi plg on o DPFI hane. Make e he colo ae he mach p o ha o oe don. Thee

    ae 2 hie coloed ie and he can eail be mied p. So make e he hie ie ha i a "lone" (no in a

    gop of 4) i a "lone" hen o e-pin he MPFI plg (I need ome pic, heh).

    ECU plugs:

    Connec he oange ie on C1 o pin B10. Yo can eihe de-pin C1 and ap i oe o c C1 and olde i ono

    a ie o p in B10.

    Connec he hie ie on C2 o pin B12. Yo can eihe de-pin C2 and ap i oe o c C2 and olde i ono a

    ie o p in B12.

    hing o do, IMO, i o make a ne hane j fo he VTEC ie. I all find a 4 o 6 pin male/female plg combo

    fom one of he hanee ha I hae and go fom hee. If o don hae an hanee floaing aond hen a jnkad i

    definael hae one ha o can pll plg fom. In he ca I'e ied hi plg combo eide on he clip (e hee i een

    a clip fo hi plg. The ee hinking of ap g!) igh ne o he big hie pa ide plg. Wha o do i n he

    ie fom he ECU o one end of he plg (he end ha clip ono he clip), hen make an engine hane ih all he ie

    Engine hane.

    Hook up the VTEC solenoid. Its a green ire ith a single connector on our OBD0 VTEC harness.

    Hook up the VTEC oil pressure sitch. It is a 2 pin plug near the VTEC solenoid. One of the pins is for ground (the

    black one) and the other goes to the ECU.

    Hook up the Knocksensor. This is on the back of the block and has a plug eactl like the oil pressure sitch ecep

    it onl uses 1 of the 2 ires in the plug. The knock sensor ire is supposed to be a shielded ire so use a shielded

    ire.

    Hook up the 2nd O2 sensor. Yes ou need it. It is also supposed to be a shielded ire.
