Instructions for USEEffortless Frizz Free Salon Glamour Curls with Keratin Protech TechnologyThanks to Keratin Protech Technology, you can say goodbye to frizzy, heat damaged hair after styling. Keratin Protech Technology features natural keratin – an essential ingredient for healthy hair and salon quality style – and is used to repair and protect the hair when styling,. Infused into the ceramic barrel of the Salon Glamour Curls, the keratin releases and transfers to the hair when styling.

Getting to know your Salon Glamour CurlsThe Salon Glamour Curls styler gives you the chance to create a variety of different curl effects in your hair, in an easy, hassle-free way. Experimenting with the different heat, timer and curl direction settings allows you the freedom to find the style best suited to you.

Time Settings: There are 11 different timer settings – from 5 to 15 seconds. The amount of time the hair is held in the curl chamber will affect the style of curl. Typically, the longer the hair is held in the curl chamber, the more defined the curl will be. Results will vary depending on hair type.

Temperature settings: There are 10 temperature settings to select from; 140oC, 150oC, 160oC, 170oC, 180oC, 190oC, 200oC, 210oC, 220oC and 230oC. The default setting is 190oC. It is recommended to start with the lowest temperature setting and increase the level of heat as required.

Curl control settings Left/Right/AutoUse the curl direction control to choose either a styled or natural finish.Select the curl direction by sliding the switch into either L (left), R (Right) or A (Auto).

Left and Right• The L and R options can be used to create curls that

frame the face.• Use the L setting for the left side of the hair, and the

R setting for the right side.• Simply slide the switch between curling to alternate

between the two sides.

Auto• The Auto Setting creates a more natural, less stylised look.• Choose the Auto Setting and use the curler on each

section of hair.• On Auto the curler will automatically alternate the

direction after each curl for the natural look.

Auto Shut OffThe Salon Glamour Curls styler has an auto-shut off function. After 60 minutes it will switch off automatically. If you wish to continue using the appliance after 60 minutes of continuous use, simply switch the styler off, then back on again.

Using your Salon Glamour Curls Always ensure that your hair is clean, dry and combed through and that the sections you want to curl are no more than 3cm wide. The type of curl will depend on the temperature selected along with the timer setting, which dictates the amount of time the hair is kept inside the curl chamber.

1. Plug the Salon Glamour Curls Styler in, then using the temperature settings button (marked by a T), select the required temperature. It is recommended to start with a low temperature to see what heat your hair requires.

2. Ensure your hair is clean, dry, and combed through.3. Using the time settings button (marked by a small clock),

select the required time setting for your hair type.4. Select the curl direction by sliding the switch into either

L (Left), R (Right) or A (Auto) position.5. The Salon Glamour Curls styler is ready for use when the

progress bar on the LED screen has stopped beating.6. For best results, section your hair.7. Take a section of hair around 1.5cm thick. Make sure

it’s free from any tangles.8. Position the styler into your hair with the opening of the

curl chamber facing toward your head.9. Pull your hair into the curling chamber, through the

gap at the front of the curling chamber heat shield.10. Holding the curler still, let go of your hair gently,

ensuring it doesn’t escape from the curling chamber.11. Press the curling button. Your hair will automatically be

drawn into the curling chamber, where it will be heated from all directions to form the curl.

Note: If your hair gets tangled, simply slide the curler away from the head slowly.

12. Hold the Salon Glamour Curls styler steady whilst it curls your hair eight times. After this a series of beeps will signal the timer counting down.

13. Once all the beeps have sounded, slowly pull the curler away from your hair.

14. To allow the curl to set, do not comb or brush through the hair until it has cooled.

15. Repeat as necessary. Cleaning and Care• The Salon Glamour Curls styler may need cleaning

from time to time due to a build-up of hair product residue.

• To clean the styler, first ensure that the appliance is switched off, unplugged and completely cool.

• Take the Easy Twist Cleaning Wand and lightly dampen the foam pads on the wand with warm water and soap.

• Insert the Easy Twist Cleaning Wand into the curling chamber whilst holding on to the top handle.

• Rotate the Easy Twist Cleaning Wand around the curl chamber to clean away any residue.

• Allow the curling chamber to completely dry before using the appliance again.

• The Easy Twist Cleaning Wand can be used multiple times. Simply remove the foam pads from the legs of the tool, rinse them in warm, soapy water and leave them to dry in between cleaning.

Samantha’s Salon Glamour Curls Styling GuideHair Type and Temperature:Ask your hairdressers to help identify your hair type if you are unsure. If your hair is fine, fragile or colour treated, choose a setting below 200 degrees. If you have thicker, coarser or curly hair, choose a setting between 200 – 230oC. Curly and natural hair need higher heat settings – 200+. As you curl your own hair, pay attention to the heat and how your hair responds to it, then adjust the temperature accordingly.

Sectioning and Styling:• For best results hold the curler near to the scalp,

inserting your hair near the root first for a full curl.• For low, loose curls, start half way down the sectioned

hair.• For an all over tight ringlet curl, section the hair.

Starting with the lowest section of hair, take strands no thicker than 1.5 cm (for tighter curls use thinner strands), feed the hair near the root of the section into the curling chamber and curl for up to 15 seconds. Angle upwards and pull away from the hair when the beeps have ended.

• Blow dry wet hair and spray a light heating mist on to your hair before use for lasting curls.

• The Salon Glamour Curls styler can be used on all hair types and textures except very short hair.

• For fine hair, use a lower heat temperature.• For thick or coarser hair, keep the heat setting high.• Afro-textured hair may require straightening before

styling.

Sectioning:There are many ways to section hair. Sectioning your hair for curling is slightly different to how it is sectioned for straightening.1. To begin, take the top layer of hair and pull it into a

messy bun on top of the head.2. Take the next layer and tie it up just underneath the first bun.

This should leave the bottom layer loose and down.3. Part the hair over the shoulders and now you are ready

to curl.4. When the bottom layer is curled, release the next

section and curl.5. Continue until all hair is loose and curled as desired.

Note: You may have to section off multiple upper layers depending on the style and thickness of the hair.

Party Proof Curls:For Curls that last all night:1. Wash and blow dry hair, and then lightly spray with

a heat protecting mist.2. Using the Salon Glamour Curls styler, select the

desired temperature and time setting and curl a section of hair.

3. Immediately roll the freshly curled piece of hair around your finger and pin it to your scalp using a bobby pin.

4. Continue until all the hair has been curled and pinned up.5. Apply a coat of hair spray onto the now pinned curls.6. After five minutes, release all the curls.7. Run your fingers through the curls to break them up,

and apply another coat of hair spray if necessary.

Hair Twist:1. Section off a piece of your hair.2. Use your finger to split the sectioned hair into two, one

on each side of the barrel.3. Gently hold the hair in place until it is pulled into the

unit.
