Oxirane derivativesR 0030 Efficient Epoxidation of Electron-Deficient Olefins with a Cationic Manganese
Complex. — A highly efficient and selective manganese complex is reported that can rapidly epoxidize a wide range of olefins. A number of electron-rich di- and trisubsti-tuted olefins in addition to electron-poor olefins of allyl acetate, methacrylate and 2-cyclohexene-1-one are epoxidized at ambient temperature with a low catalyst loading using 1.2 equiv. of commercially available peracetic acid. — (MURPHY, A.; DUBOIS, G.; STACK*, T.
