The communication system for the Mass Rapid Transportation Authority
(MRTA) provides communication for 22 km of underground train tunnel
for a high requirement in data communications as well as voice
communications. Hytera was awarded in 2002 to build up, operate and
transfer this new line radio communication in a challenging time of only
30 months from contract award.
Background
Hytera solutionThe system is composed of one DMX-520 and 19 radio base stations to
offer secure voice communication for employees.
The radio system also transmits train location information and train
condition data to controller terminals for especially a powerful data
exchanging between the train-borne applications and the operation
control center (OCC).
The controller operations center includes the multi-user dispatcher system
TRD-500, designed to fulfill the high level requirements of the end-user.
The control of the trains change depending on whether a train is on the
track site or in the depot area.
In 2009, Hytera was awarded again Airport Link Bangkok (18 train stations)
with 9 BS , 2 redundancy switch notes, 4 train control specific dispatching
systems and 120 terminals.

Mass Transit Railway (MTR) is the rapid transit railway system in HK including 211.6km
of rail with 155 stations, it is one of the busiest rail transit systems in the world with a
daily passenger rides over 2.45 million. In 2006, MTR Corporation decided to upgrade
its wireless communications systems, replacing its present MPT1327 system with a
more advanced TETRA system to better serve its expanded businesses.
Background
For more than 3 years engineering and configuration, Hytera successfully deployed the
communications system with 3 parts, including 435 Train-Borne / fixed station
terminals, 5 Network Management Systems and 65 Dispatch Systems.

voice/message , In this situation , the operator will do dispatching via portable terminals.
The real time graphic user interface display on train location, make it easier and time-saving
time for operator that dispatching server connecting to both ATS and RFID system to make
train location more accurate.
