Operation
Requirements for Operators
Balked
landing MISAP shall only be executed by pilots who have completed simulator training.
Low Visibility Procedure
Advanced Surface Movement Guidance and Control System (A-SMGCS) in use when LVP activated.
Follow-me mandatory when RVR below 300m.
Only yellow TWY centerline shall be used during LVP.
Maintain own wing tip separation during crossing of other ACFT at stop positions. In case of any suspicion
stop ACFT, report to ATC and wait instructions.
Preferential RWY
LDG RWY 17L/35R.
TKOF RWY 17R/35L.
Preferential RWY System Operations (PRS)
During PRS the following RWY configuration will be used in preference to the other configurations:
LDG RWY 05.
LDG/TKOF RWY 35R/L.
PRS operations must be used in compliance with following conditions:
When the preferred RWY is dry and tail wind component does not exceed 10KT.
When the preferred RWY is wet and tail wind component does not exceed 5KT.
When braking action for the preferred RWY is less than "Good, Good, Good", select RWY according wind.
If unable to comply with PRS for RWY 05 report this fact on first contact with ATC or 20min in advance
of ETA.
Transponder Mode S
Ensure that XPNDR is able to operate when ACFT is on the ground. Select XPNDR or the equivalent
according to specific installation, AUTO if AVBL, not OFF or SDBY, and the assigned Mode A code, just
after receiving the ATC CLR. After LDG, continuously until the ACFT is fully parked on stand. After parking
the Mode A code 2000 must set before selecting OFF or SDBY.
Select ACFT identification feature if AVBL, just after receiving ATC CLR.
TWY Restriction
TWYs K, K1 width 18m / 59ft.
MAX taxi speed 10KT on TWY D, D1, G and APN V. Other TWYs 20KT.
TWY K, K1 self maneuvering AVBL for ACFT with MAX wingspan of 36m / 118ft. ACFT code letter E and
F are prohibited.
TWY centerline G-Blue and G-Orange AVBL up to code letter C ACFT.
Blue and Orange CL shall only be used under night conditions which do not have low visibility conditions.
ACFT with MAX wingspan of 36m / 118ft must use push-back from the PRKG area to the blue and orange
CL unless otherwise instructed by ATC.

GENERAL
In order to maintain safety distance between F and G TWYs , ACFT taxiing from west to east on TWY G
must wait at the intermediate holding point TULIP, located at the backward side of 228 parking area,
then continue taxiing by ATC instruction.
Due to insufficient distance TWY B1 and B2 cannot be used at the same time.
Code letter E ACFT must use TWY J1 to enter Maintenance Apron 1.

RWY 05
ARR 1G: ACFT vacating RWY from TWY E5-E8 shall use TWY G.
ARR 1F: ACFT vacating RWY from TWY E5-E8 shall use TWY F and D and hold before G for ATC INSTR.
DEP 2C: ACFT shall use TWY D, B5, C, F, E1 and hold on RWY 05 HLDG point
DEP 2F: ACFT shall use TWY G, E5, F and hold before TWY C for ATC instructions.
RWY 23
ARR 2D: ACFT vacating RWY from E1-E4 shall use TWY F and D and hold before G for ATC INSTR.

Taxi/Parking
Taxiing on TWY to/from RWY exactly on CL (soft shoulders).
ACFT vacating RWY via Rapid Exit TWY (RET) has priority at intersection over ACFT taxiing on other TWYs.
Automatic guidance system on stands 201-226 and 101-112.
Parking areas and positions of bridges on B (101-105) R, N, L, M APN cannot be seen from TWR.
Pay special attention to TWR instructions.
Enter stands 101, 102 with low thrust level.
Enter/Exit APN V with low thrust level. There are no CL markings at the west segment of APN V.
APU
APU must be switched off within 5min after parking.
APU is allowed to be switched on 15min before estimated start-up.

Engine Run-up Areas
ENG test shall be performed at the Motor Test Apron.
Contact GND prior to ENG test. If ENG test not possible at Motor Test Apron perform ENG test on TWY
C between TWY B4 and TWY B1 according ATC.
Warnings
IYES ILS/DME RWY 35R
unusable beyond 10° left side of LOC CL for CAT 2 OPS.
IISB ILS/DME RWY 17L
unusable either side of localizer centerline beyond 20NM.
Birds in vicinity of AD.
ARRIVAL
Speed
All RNAV STAR
200KT on base leg/closing HDG to final APCH up to 12NM to touchdown.
180KT on final APCH course within 12NM to 6NM to touchdown.
160KT on final APCH course within 6NM to 4NM to touchdown.
These speeds are applied for ATC separation purposes and are mandatory. ACFT unable to conform to
these speeds, advise ATC and state which speeds will be used.
Communication
On initial contact with Yesilkoy TWR report call sign and RWY.
Heavy traffics LDG RWY 05 shall inform ATC at first contact that they are heavy and follow yellow line
on TWY G.
After LDG, immediately after vacating RWY (crossing RWY HLDG points) contact GND without waiting
any instruction from TWR on following FREQ:
- RWY 05/23 or 17L: contact GND south on 121.800
- RWY 35R: contact GND north on 121.600
Phraseology
RNAV STAR: Cancellation of LVL restrictions will be subject to ATC clearance by the phrase:
"Open descend to... (ALT/FL)."
COM Failure
For IFR flights outside TMA
Follow FPL route using last assigned and acknowledged FL. For 3min execute relevant STAR. Then,
descending to 6000ft and proceed to IST VOR/DME. Leave IST VOR/DME at 6000ft. Proceed to relevant
IAF, execute instrument approach procedure and land.
For IFR flights inside TMA
ACFT at or above 6000ft:
For 3min execute last assigned and acknowledged ATC instructions. Then, descending to 6000ft (traffic
via KFK VOR/DME is not allowed to descend below 10000ft before passing DEKEK or beyond D40 from
IST VOR/DME) and proceed to IST VOR/DME. Leave IST VOR/DME at 6000ft. Proceed to relevant IAF,
execute instrument approach procedure and land.
ACFT below 6000ft, at or above 3000ft:
Proceed to relevant IAF, descend or maintain last assigned and acknowledged ALT. Execute instrument
approach procedure (IAP for RWY 17 and 23 are to be executed via IAF VURAL and KOFUN) and land.
Note: ACFT on downwind legs shall execute this procedure regardless of ALT or LVL.
ACFT below 3000ft: Proceed to relevant IAP and land.

Balked Landing MISAP ILS/DME B RWY 23
As early as practicable turn left and intercept IST R090 with MAX bank to avoid penetration of RWY 17L/R
DEP path and climb to 3000ft, contact Yesilkoy APP. Terrain CLR up to 2000ft and avoidance of DEP path
and other traffic in vicinity shall be under the responsibility of PIC.
If unable to contact with APP until passing IST R090 D12 point, turn left on HDG 054°, intercept IST R078
to proceed GAYEM. After passing D26 climb to 4000ft and hold over GAYEM.
When unable to perform balked landing MISAP on cleared ILS/DME B RWY 23 or ILS/DME B RWY 23
GP INOP (LOC only), inform TWR at latest before turning to final APCH with phrase "UNABLE BALKED
LANDING" and expect HLDG.
When RWY 23 landing and RWY 17L/R take off RWY configuration are executed, execution of
simultaneous independent RWY operations shall be announced from ATIS. If unable to execute balked
landing MISAP inform Yesilkoy APP as soon as possible but not later than turning to final APCH segment.
Warnings
GP signal interruption may be experienced during an ILS APCH to RWY 17L or RWY 35R.
GP and LOC signal interruption may be experienced during an ILS APCH to RWY 05 or RWY 23, caused
by ACFT crossing the RWY.

Departure Procedure
Start-up/Push-back
For start-up PROCs see CRAR Turkey and in addition;
PWR back prohibited.
Push-back shall not be requested unless the push-back vehicle interlocked to ACFT and is fully ready
for push-back.
In order to maintain safety distance between F and G TWYs, ACFT conducting push-back from parking
PSN to backward side of 228-230 parking area on TWY G shall start-up after having pushed to PSN 4.
Stand 101-106, R1-R4:
After push-back, ENG start-up allowed after reaching start-up PSN.
Traffic granted with push-back and start-up permissions must start push-back within 1min at the latest,
otherwise estimated start-up time shall be instructed by ATC.
Heavy traffic departing from APN S and stands 209, 230 shall inform ATC at first contact that they are
heavy and do push-back through the yellow line on TWY G.
Code letter D ACFT shall pass TWY K, K1 by push-back without ENG start.
Only ACFT with APU failure are allowed to make cross bleed start-up provided that required measures
were taken in advance.
Pilot requesting start-up CLR must be ready for DEP at the CTOT in consideration to the estimated TWY
crossover durations which are APROX 26min for RWY 17L/R and 20min for RWY 35L/R and 05/23.
The traffic having CLR to line up to proceed to RWY 17L and RWY 35R are required to proceed to the line
up Position-2 point where AVBL PSN-2 sign 200m / 656ft inside from RWY 17L and 35R THR unless
otherwise authorized by ATC.
Minimum RWY Occupancy Time (MROT)

Noise Abatement Procedure

Pilot intending to use RWY 35R for DEP instead of RWY 35L must inform DLV 35min in advance of the
estimated start-up time.
De-Icing
CAT III
In case CAT III conditions duly sustained render the usage of RWY 05/23 obligatory, F1 and F2 de-icing
application shall be used. As a line-up area for de-icing application TWY D (between B9 and F) shall be
used firstly. In case this area has become insufficient TWY C (between B9 and B8) shall be used.
RWY 35R, 35L
When the use of 35R, 35L is concerned, all along TWY F shall be used as line-up area whereas the
intersection of TWY F and TWY E3, E4 are to be used as de-icing application areas.
RWY 17L, 17R
When the use of RWY 17L, 17R is concerned, turning path from TWY D to TWY B4 is de-icing application
area whereas TWY D (between TWY B4 and B5) shall used as line-up location.
Warnings
Heavy ACFT departing from RWY 35R can cause jet wash impact to traffic LDG RWY 05.
