Production characteristics • Snakes should be kept in a remote building• Containers can accommodate one or more individuals• One side of the container should be glass• Different species should be kept in different rooms

Production Characteristics • Snakes, usually, hibernate for the winter • Hibernation it is very delicate and play a decisive roll

in reproduction.• Temperature condition must be met for the

hibernation to succeed • Snakes hibernate in groups

Production characteristics • One source of light and heat (one light bulb) at least

in each container • A baby snake can reach maturity in 2 years • A snake can have 7 to 12 baby snakes• As soon as the baby snakes are born they have to be

separated from their parents and they have a very toxic venom.

Production Characteristics • One container can hold 10 snakes -dimensions: 10 feet long 4 feet wide 4.5 tall - make sure it is tall enough that the snakes can not get out - cost 200$/container

Production characteristics

• Collect venom twice a month (milk the snakes)• Use a different cup for each snake, the cup should

have a membrane at the top to prevent any impurities to get in the venom

• Venom in contact with air becomes crystallized
