IIoT Gateway-Light Monitoring SystemProof of Concept by Daikin Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (PJ)Objectives • Real time data monitoring• Data Storage and analysis• Fast counter measures Current Situation • The visibility of the brazing worker in brazing process, can be disrupted by the

structure above the station• The light is measured manually and it was done once in a while without real

time light monitoring.

Improvement and Final Result • The light condition in the blazing station can be monitored real time• The workers work under right lighting condition • Fast countermeasures when light is dim can be taken• The light intensity data can be collected and further study will be conducted

in future regarding the relationship between the lighting condition during day and night vs. the defect ratio.

Working Environment Monitoring SystemProof of Concept by CPI (Penang ) Sdn. Bhd. (PJ) Problem Statement• Existing device not able to have real time Test Environment

Temperature, Humidity, Lighting and battery voltage monitoring. • Can caused testing reliability issue if product not tested under

required test environment.

Moving Forward"• This forum, organised in partnership with MITI, MIDA, MATRADE, AMCHAM and FMM, was held

on 31st July 2019 at MITI Tower• The guess of honor was Y.B. Dr. Ong Kian Ming, MITI Deputy Minister, who also moderated a

panel discussion• Summary of 'Call to Action' 1. Assist existing MNC’s local management to compete within global regions 2. Nurture local companies to move up the value chain 3. Develop competent workforce to support new growth 4. Formulate policies which will enable the National Agenda for E&E Industry

• This 6-days training was conducted at Hotel Equatorial, Penang• The 2 main objectives are: 1. To assist SMEs' needs to shift their mind-set to think big in terms of changing their game by looking beyond organic growth opportunities. 2. SMEs need to be more competitive, and consider M&As and other inorganic means by which they can grow their business• Training dates were 4th~5th, 11th ~ 12th , 19th and 26th Sep 2019• A total of 21 participants attended this training• This effort was championed by EEPN’s Key Strategy #4 taskforce in nurturing local companies to be global champions
