• Students will have time to start Math homework in class. Your child SHOULD, however, have up to 30 minutes of math per night (M-TH) to do at HOME.

HOMEWORK• You should expect that your child
will have homework every night, M-TH. Homework should be highlighted in their agendas.
• Students should also be reading and logging their minutes every day. (Between 30-60 minutes.)

SNAP GRADES
• This year, we are moving to an electronic grading system.
• You can check on your child’s progress as frequently as you would like online.
• This system is expensive, so if you’d like to utilize it, we are asking that you pay $3.00 if you choose to participate.
• As soon as we have this up and running, we will give you the needed access information.

SNACK
All classes will have a time to eat their snack. In order to keep our carpets looking new, only
water is permitted in each classroom. (There may be an exception to this rule if a class party has been earned.) In addition, please send snacks that do not require a spoon or non-liquid snacks.

Read to Succeed We hope all students will read at
LEAST 100 hours during the school year.
Hours should be recorded and turned in MONTHLY. (Should be turned in by the first Friday of the first full week of the next month.)
Late calendars will not be accepted. Final deadline is April 30th.
There will be special activities at the end of the year to celebrate your readers.

Write a comprehensive report on an individual that interests them and is related to either their cottage or a specific area designated by the teacher.
Prepare a poster.
