EducationEducation is for free in Denmark, but it’s compulsory for everybody.

The Danish education system consists two systems:- ordinary education system- parallel educational system for adult education and in-service training.

WelfareWhen speaking of welfare, it’s about ensure the citizens are well.

We can go to the doctor without paying, we can go to school, free, but it’s also a duty.

All that is caused by high taxes

Denmark is one of the few countries in the world with the lowest inequality.

“Hygge”

Hard to explain and even harder to pronounce.

It’s roughly translates to coziness, but that definition doesn’t quite cover it.

Hygge didn't originate in the Danish language but in Norwegian, where it meant something like "well-being."

The meaning of “hygge”

Hygge means; a nice, warm atmosphere and enjoying the good things in life with good people around you. The warm glow of candlelight is hygge. Friends and family – that’s hygge too. And let’s not forget the eating and drinking.
