• The only academic performance data that the
government has is from the “National Examination”
which is an annual exit exam for grade 6, 9, and 12.
• While education is the biggest line item of the state
budget (20%), spending has been random due to
this lack of real-time, actionable data.
• Indonesian education has been one of the lowest-
performing globally
• National average of Teacher’s Competency Test (UKG)
in 2015 stood at 53.02/100, below the government-set
minimum standard of 55, signifying subpar teacher
quality
• Students in Java and Sumatera consistently score
better at National Examination
• East Nusa Tenggara–also the poorest province in
Indonesia–has the lowest National Examination
average score in 2015, with 20 points difference from
their counterparts in Java and Sumatera

can pay the credit through internet banking, credit card, bank transfer, or deducted from their phone
