    Background of the Education and Outreach FundThe Education and Outreach Fund is sponsored by the UK Family

    Federation for World Peace. The Fund exists to support innovative ideas

    that advance family values and peace. It ill also support other education

    and outreach or! that is ali"ned ith the values of the Family Federation

    for World Peace #FFWP$.

    Aims of the Fund

    Applying for a small $rant from the Education and

    Outreach Fund $uidance and $rant Purpose

    The Education and Outreach Fund is pleased to be able to o'er small

    "rants to pro/ects around the UK. 4ll pro/ects must bene:t communities

    in the UK.

    The total amount available for small "rants is 66.66 a month

    inde:nitely.

    To !ic! start the fund there is an initial amount of (666.66.

    The fund as launched 4u"ust (6&*.

    The maximum amount available for any one "rant ill be in line ith

    the fundin" pot;s limit at the time #66 < &666$.

    There is no minimum amount that you can apply for ithin the limits of

    the fund;s capacity.

    On"oin" pro/ects have an option to rene fundin" ith a second

    application over and above the total &2666 limit hoever= the main

    priority is to help initiate ne pro/ects.

    %" &ypes of Pro'ects that we will support

    There are diverse cultures ithin our community2 thesecommunities hold a ealth of !noled"e2 experiences and s!ills2

    but also have diverse needs. 3o activities around education and

    outreach are ruled out and e anticipate that a ide ran"e of

    di'erent !inds of pro/ects ill be supported.

    (" E)amples of kinds of pro'ects could include*

    a. Pro/ects tailored for speci:c "roups in locations and at

    times that maximise their accessibility

    b. +upport to establish2 continue or expand existin" or

    continuin" pro/ects e" Saturday schools/grous, hich

    promote heart culture2 spiritual parentin"2 preparation for

    adulthood2 brin"in" the communities to"ether > these are

    brainstormed ideas that can be used. ?o about= informal

    The di'erence is that the pro/ect inspires hope and action to our second"eneration. +TF o'ers a or!shop environment but that alone is not enou"h toinitiate a ne lifestyle that can endure. -embers return from +TF andfreDuently :nd that there is nothin" for them to do and they lose theirinspiration. This pro/ects supplements +TF and "ives second "en. theexperience of ho they can live their lives2 study and or! and maintain anactive faith

    children they have been relyin" on their parents; faith2 not their on. )urin"

    the @4AP a"e they have to have experience ith 1od and True Parents so their

    faith can chan"e and be their on and then prepare for the Glessin".

    apanese @4AP has the spirit that Father expected #Father set it up$ from thebe"innin". ?is vision still exists in @4AP > to create future leaders for the

    nation. It is very real for them. +o I really anted to send EU (nd"en to

    experience @4AP @entre life.

    The members are the same a"e as our participants. &stand (nd"en live

    to"ether2 eat2 study ?)? and itness to"ether. There is no /ud"ement2 only

    love and support for each other. They are very proud to be @4AP members2

    they are learnin" and reco"nise their future to ta!e responsibility for apan.

    Our (nd"en are so surprised to see &stand (nd"en to"ether2 lovin" and

    supportin" each other. Our (nd"en come to !no the diBcult circumstances of

    many of the @4AP members in that they face a lot of ne"ativity from their

    families. Gut they have a stron"2 proud and committed spirit.

    -y vision is not only for our (nd"en to visit apan but for the apanese to come

    to Europe. I ant to "ive them the opportunity to really experience 1od. We

    ill have exchan"e visits and in the future I ill send EU (nd"en to 4frica for

    them to experience di'erent MorldsN. The A+ Pro/ect is a very "ood example

    of ho e can do this.

    I havent been !eepin" up ith the @4AP experience in the past to

    years but I thin! the pro"ram has "reat potential. I personally see it as a

    condensed form of an educational pro"ram similar to +TF.

    With better or"anisation from both the European and apanese sides it

    has the potential to "ap existin" cultural di'erences andmisunderstandin"s beteen the European and apanese members and

    movements2 as ell as bein" a "reat experiential pro"ram for youn"

    people.

    I de:nitely thin! it should continue2 and deserves more reco"nition and

    support.
