(INTASC, 2011)Brief Description of Evidence:As part of my EDUC 210 Planning for The Elementary Classroom course during the fall semester of 2014, I worked with another classmate to create and implement a lesson plan in a third grade classroom. I created a lesson plan that covered all parts of the standard at an appropriate level for third grade students. Analysis of What I Learned:I learned how to make a lesson plan that will teach students one of the Indiana state standards. I also learned how to apply knowledge that I have into creating things that are formatted into a way that is easy to see and is easy for others to follow. I investigated different ways to locate the appropriate supplies for my classroom and for my students to easily use. While working on this lesson plan I acquired knowledge on how students will complete activities at their own pace.How This Artifact Demonstrates my Competence on the INTASC Standard:My competence in this standard is proven by my ability to design a lesson plan that can be used to find teach students in my classroom that are within guidelines set forth by the Indiana State Standards. With making this lesson plan I gained the knowledge to understand how my students will learn differently and how to adjust or change things to make the lesson fit their learning type. In making this lesson plan I also gained the knowledge that things will not always go as planned and there are times that you may need something to fill time for students that complete early.
