Using NROC in the Summer Bridge
Structure of the Bridge Program in Summer 2014
19 students from a local high school (juniors and seniors) who had previously taken the ACCUPLACER.
3 Fulltime Instructors.
First day students were administered the NROC Diagnostic.
Instructors analyzed the results.
Utilized Team Teaching Principles.
Students also practiced in the areas identified in the diagnostic by engaging in the learning path.
Some extra exercises were assigned when needed.
Statistics
Students improved on average 40 points.
16 of the 19 increased their score which allowed them to move up one level (84%).
5 increased their score to move up 2 levels (26%).

Final Thoughts
The pilot results were very promising so we will use NROC in the Summer Bridge with new students to help them to prepare for the ACCUPLACER.
We used a model of 3 teachers which worked well with a team teaching model.
