Editor Showcase Overview http://editorshowcase.com/ What is it: Editor Showcase is the leading brandtopress trade event in the country. It provides brands with a unique opportunity to have oneonone interactions with editors and producers from some of the leading media outlets in the country. The event series was created in 2009 as a solution for brands to gain consistent access top tier media as a too to augment preexisting strategies such as desk side briefings. How it works: Brands pay a fee (between $2700$3600, depending on the event and early registration) to participate and Fast Forward ensures that approximately 100+ editors attend over the course of three hours. Each event is hosted at the Marriott Marquis in NY’s Times Square area. Events planned for 2015 include the following: Health & Nutrition Thursday, February 19 Eat This! Hot New Products Monday, April 6 Snack Attack Monday, June 17 Cooking & Entertaining October TBD History: Fast Forward created Editor Showcase in 2009 and has successfully hosted 22 events over the course of those years. Each event has a different editorial focus, though most skew towards foodoriented topics. Why: Brands receive a costeffective way to meet with media to introduce their brand, new products or services in a very controlled environment. Editors gain access to many brands in one location making the event highly effective for learning about new products or services in one location. Targets: Brands – Fast Forward sells participation in Editor Showcase PR Agencies – They recommend their clients to participate Media – Their attendance is critical to the overall success of the event

Background:   Fast  Forward  Events  is  an  experiential  marketing  and  event  production  agency  specializing  in  the  creation  of  world-­‐class  trade  and  consumer  experiences.    Executives  at  the  company  have  more  than  15  years  of  experience  producing  events  and  brand  experiences  that  connect  brands  to  their  target  audiences,  including  Editor  Showcase,  San  Diego  Bay  Wine  &  Food  Festival,  Cooking  Light  &  Health’s  The  Fit  Foodie,  Paso  Robles  Wine  Country  Grand  Tasting  Tour,  Los  Angeles  Wine  &  Food  Festival,  The  Gourmet  Experience,  and  Action  Adventure  Expos,  Skinny  Girl  Daily  Sampling  Program,  Sahale  Snacks  Sampling  Program,  among  others.  

PR  Needs:   Fast  Forward  is  looking  for  an  agency  partner  that  can  provide  the  following:  

• Media  management  of  four  events  for  2015  • Development  of  a  timeline  • Access  to  top  tier  media  with  a  goal  of  120  media  attending  each  event  • Managing  all  aspects  of  invites  including  prioritizing  media  • Distribution  of  all  save  the  date  and  evite  e-­‐cards  • Management  of  media  confirmations  • Management  of  press  kits  • Ongoing  communication  and  planning  calls  with  weekly  status  updates  on  secured  

media  and  measurement  to  goal  • Manage  media  name  badges  • Onsite  attendance,  check  in  and  management  of  media    (minimum  of  three  agency  

staff  per  showcase)  • Post  coverage  media  compiling  and  distribution  to  attendees  • Generate  press  coverage  of  each  event  to  ensure  brands  are  aware  of  Editor  

Showcase  • Screen  all  RSVPs  to  ensure  that  quality  editors  who  meet  the  event’s  strict  criteria  

are  in  attendance  • Complete  RSVP  list  of  media  along  with  full  contact  details  submitted  within  24-­‐

hours  of  each  Showcase  to  Fast  Forward.      • Media  drops,  as  needed,  in  advance  of  the  Showcase  • Manage  media  transportation  and  car  service  • Social  Media  outreach  to  target  brands  and  agencies,  show  coverage  secured  as  a  

result  of  the  Showcase  and  enhance  the  social  voice  of  the  event  series  • Assist  with  “closing”  the  show  • Secure  three  to  four  Top  Tier  media  editors/producers  per  Showcase  to  appear  on  a  

panel  discussion  for  attending  brands;  these  editors  will  be  required  to  give  3  minutes  per  attending  brand  in  a  “speed  networking”  style    

Budget:     $20,000  (5K  per  event)
