Thanks to our new Young Consultants who completed SUP level 1 training with Fabian and Anita. Great to meet some new faces and seeing everyone get involved. We had valuable input throughout the program and some future leaders in the making!
We also try and do something fun after the program to celebrate. This time we blitzed Ten Pin Bowling.
Level 2 & 3 camp will be coming up in the next school holidays for all of the level 1 participants to complete and be fully qualified Young Consultants.
If you are aged between 14-25 years please get in contact with us and book yourself a spot on the next round of SUP level 1.

What an amazing turn out to the Noarlunga Recreation center for the NAIDOC Week event for all ages. We had a lovely Welcome to Country by one of our Kaurna Young Consultants, Brooke.
There was not 1, but 2 jumping castles for all the jumping beans. Our amazing Henna and face painting artists were kept busy all day with their amazing skills and creative talent. The Balloon Magician also created much laughter and put smiles on all of our faces. We had an arcade corner with a pinball machine, Mario Kart dual arcade game and Air Hockey.
Thanks to everyone who attended and gave great feedback for the event and ideas for future events. We love putting these connection events on for all ages and appreciate the turnout and engagement.

We want to hear from you! To improve the way children and
young people navigate their way through care we get together for a YAG (Youth Advisory Group). This time we will hold our YAG over ZOOM - especially for our outer metro young people. We
are keen to hear about your experiences and what life is like
in care outside of the city.

We are doing some research in South Australia and need to speak to young people 15-18 years. We will ask you a bunch of questions
about your experiences in care. And once we have spoken to HEAPS of
young people, we will write it up into a report and it will help everyone learn how to do their work better.

DCP YOUTH ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY LAUNCH.
Congratulations to all of the DCP youth groups for their contribution to the Youth Engagement Strategy launch. It was a fantastic event, great speaking from the young people and a solid start of genuine youth participation in DCP! Congrats to the CREATE young consultants involved!

How did you first become involved with CREATE?
My first Connection Event was at BOWLAND and I loved it!!
What did you think of SPEAK UP training?
It was engaging and fun. I learned about things I didn’t even know I could ask or do.
What’s your goal while being a Young Consultant?
Making a difference for other Young People in care and letting them know that what they are going through will help them in the end.
What’s you favourite thing to do in your spare time?
Gaming!! I have a PS console and one game I really enjoy is Spider Man.
Whats your ideal job?
Police Officer. I’ve always wanted to help people and I think the best way I could do that would be to become a Police Officer.
