Informal lead acid battery recyclingMexico50% of children suffer from lead poisoning
Brazil16.5% of children suffer from lead poisoningChronic lead poisoning has been declared a national public health emergency in China.25% of the Indian population tested positive for lead poisoning
Informal lead acid battery recycling
Pure Earth Worlds worst pollution reportPure Earth Worlds worst pollution reportInformal lead acid battery recycling puts peoples lives in danger
Our SolutionWe will sell a new system to lead acid battery recyclers.
The Process
Batteries are brokenLead smeltedPaste extractedAcid neutralisedCitrecycle ProcessA new way to recycle lead paste
High value oxideDirect feedstock for new batteries
We have a solution.Process DescriptionThe Citrecycle process is based on technology developed in the University of Cambridge. It is low cost, low temperature, low energy hydrometallurgical process, which recycles lead paste from lead acid batteries into a value added lead oxide feedstock for new batteries. We buy and break old batteries, separate the components and leach the lead paste with natural solvents. This is then turned into the lead oxide product which is sold to battery manufacturers.(We have x number of patents protecting this)The nature of the process provides a local, clean, safe and most Importantly -sustainable recycling solution for lead acid batteries.
