Edinburgh College undertook a major refurbishment of its Sighthill campus, adding a new extension to the front of the existing campus. Flexiform successfully won a tender bid process to supply furniture to the new extensions.

Working along side Space Solutions Edinburgh, we were tasked to supply a unique bespoke seating solution for their impressive atrium area, café area, classrooms, breakout spaces, study areas and library furniture. We then went on to secure another campus at Milton Road using a similar specification of products and colours.

Throughout the buildings, we worked with Space Solutions and Turner Townsend to create fun, bright and invitingly-designed furniture. Edinburgh College wanted a specifically-designed fabric in the college logo colours. The fabric was applied to bespoke sociable seating (designed by one of our suppliers) in The Atrium at Sighthill. This was then developed with pouffes, coffee tables and bistro seating. All products were chosen for a fun design, funky shapes, bright colours, and durability. We also helped relocate furniture from Sighthill to Milton Road.

Edinburgh College featured a variety of Flexiform’s furniture within the classrooms, technology rooms and library. Flexiform’s Additions table range has an extensive selection suitable for meetings, workshops and classrooms as well standalone desks with a wide variety of colour finishes, shapes and leg types. Edinburgh College chose a selection of cost effective regular tables, ideal for typical classroom scenarios. They are very durable, and are tested to ISO9001:2008 standards - ideal for schools, colleges and universities, where tables may be sat on. They are also available as circular and semi-circular for a sociable team working space.

Edinburgh College required standalone single desking with personal storage for various rooms. Flexiform’s Pico range is a flexible, strong and functional desking product which can be adapted for various functions. All standalone desks come with a modesty panel and cable tray, to keep cables neat and concealed, making it suitable for desks which act as a reception or appointment desk. Pedestals are designed to fit underneath Pico desking, creating easy and accessible storage.

Pico DeskingSingle Pico desking features a fixed top, modesty panel and cable tray. It is inished in black steel with a white MFC top, and is supplied with a task chair.

Rectangular Addition TablesFlexiform’s range of rectangular Ad-ditions tables is extensive, available in four heights and three leg types, and can be selected in our full range of Flexiform finishes. Other shapes include circular, semi-circular, elliptical and D-end tables.

Breakout FurnitureWe have an extensive list of hand-picked suppliers, offering a huge range of meeting seating, task seating, breakout furniture, and bespoke products.

Semi-Circular Meeting TablesOur range of tables are extensive and are available in circular, semi-circular, rectangular, square, elliptical and trapezoidal shapes – suitable for any scenario.

Classroom FurnitureThe Edinburgh College project featured a variety of classroom furniture, including classroom tables at various sizes with task chairs, meeting seating or stools, and exam tables.

Coffee TablesAlongside our supplier’s coffee tables, we supply a large variety of coffee tables with multiple bases, from domed and flat bases to square or round legs.
