Overbanding  Allowed  under  specifica(on  for  NRSWA  but  not  more  than  3mm  thick  and  40mm  wide  

Minimum  skid  resistance  value  (SRV)  of  55  

Overbanding  Joint  sealing  by  overbanding  is  NOT  allowed  under  road  specifica(on.    If  used  as  “proper”  overbanding  of  cracks  and  open  joints,  then  no  more  than  3mm  thick  and  40mm  wide.                                                                                                                            If  >20mm  wide,  need  SRV  or  >60    

Bike  Sales  soar  –  Women  over  60  •  In  2014  almost  3,000  over-­‐50s  passed  motorcycling  tests  (8%  of  all  new  passes.    

•  In  2013,  nearly  ½  of  over  50s  gaining  a  licence  were  women.  

•  Over-­‐50s  are  behind  nearly  30%  of  all  spending  on  bikes  (up  17%  from  2008).    

•  43%  of  SAGA  (Benneds)    motorbike  insurers  are  >50  yrs  old.
