The Edexcel BTEC standard suite of qualifications formally sits on the uK Qualifications and Credit Framework (uK QCF) for England Wales and Northern Ireland.
The uK QCF recognises skills and qualifications by awarding credits for units (small steps of learning), enabling students to gain qualifications at their own pace and along flexible routes.
The uK QCF replaced the National Qualifications Framework (uK NQF) for England, Wales and Northern Ireland in September 2010.
The following table gives a comparative overview of the key differences between the two frameworks.

learning with a human touchThe moral quality of a society is often judged by how it cares for its sick and elderly people. To do this effectively
requires staff that not only have the heart to care, but also the right skills and personal attributes to provide for the vulnerable. Edexcel has developed a suite of courses to help skill the health and social care workers of the future.
Whether your students are interested in managing a care facility themselves or being more hands-on, this qualification provides a stimulating and dynamic introduction to the field, combining both the
theory and practice of social care across the whole age range.
