VOLUNTEER OF THE MONTH:

BOB HEINE

Over the years, Bob has visited several residents at CCMCF,

including his own father. His volunteerism began as a child,

when his father took him to a nursing home in their neigh-

borhood. Bob shared that later he was “volunteered” by Fred

who heads up a local food pantry; Love Thy Neighbor.

When Bob was asked what he enjoyed the most about volun-

teering here at the facility, he shared “the friendly atmos-

phere, both with the residents and staff. I see a lot of smiles

that in turn makes me smile.”

Bob and his wife, Sheila, have been married 43 years and

they have a son, Brian (Julie) and a daughter Deborah. Bob

retired from Kellogg’s at age 50, and went back to Bible

College in Lansing. He was ordained in 2002. In his spare

time, Bob enjoys running; in fact, he is enjoying his 35th

year now, and he shared he is slowing down considerably!

He also enjoys paddling his canoes and kayaking. Both Bob

and his wife enjoy keeping busy with seniors.

Bob wanted to share with our readers that; “I feel so privi-

leged to respond to the Lord Himself, as He opens doors to

this kind of ministry. God is Good, all

the time.”

On behalf of our residents and staff,

“Thank you Bob for all you do!”

CCMCF VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES We need Volunteers for the following activities:

Fireworks on July 3. We will need assistance in transporting residents to the fireworks.

A volunteer to play the piano. Flexible times!

Bingo: Monday or Thursdays, 1:50-3:00 pm.

Cooking & Baking with Connie: Wednesdays, July.

Do you like to garden? Our residents love to plant and

visit the gardens to watch our plants grow.

We also could use a volunteer to water our garden.

Friendly visitors are always needed!
