Negative reinforcement results in a decreased
probability of the behavior occurring in the
future.
Field crops are typically harvested at
physiological maturity.
Students consider them to be “tricky”.
Teachers think they are relatively easy to
prepare.
The “Guessing Factor” is high.
T/F are poor for diagnosing student strengths
and weaknesses.
T/F can make excellent discussion starters.

B.) US – Food, CS – Metronome, UR – Increased activity, CR – Salivation
C.) US – Food, CS – Metronome, UR – Salivation, CR – Salivation

Elizabeth Garcia is a 16-year-old high school student who recently moved to Topeka, Kansas after living in Chicago since she was 5 years old. Liz is having some difficulty adjusting to all the changes in her life. She misses her friends and spends most of her time alone. She is an outstanding student who is more advanced than most of her peers at her new school, and is finding the classes boring. She had lots of friends in Chicago, but in Topeka, she feels “different” and alone. There isn’t a school or church activity that she really enjoys. Their family activities are important to Liz and her 10-year-old brother. They enjoy frequent international travel. Liz can speak and write in both Spanish and Vietnamese. Yesterday, the counselor called Mrs. Garcia at home to inquire why Liz was absent from school.
Describe and diagram the major growth
stages of sorghum plant. Indicate when you
would do the following and explain why you
choose that given growth stage: chop for
silage (as an optional choice, do not end the
question here and answer all other options
assuming a grain crop), fertilize with
nitrogen (once), irrigate (twice), spray with
herbicide (once), and cultivate (once).
Suppose that 15 minutes before opening for
lunch maintenance called to let you know

ensure proper sanitation during this steam
outage.
Designing an effective test is never a quick
and easy task for the teacher. Be sure that
you have enough time to THINK about:
Which item format will be most effective to test
what you want students to learn
What the student must do to answer the question
you have posed
How you will evaluate the students’ responses
to help students learn
To help students learn.
