All the rooms have doors that close,but only one room locks. The roomthat locks is identified as thepsychiatric room, but is left unlockedthe majority of the time. Security hasthe only key to the room.

plate. There are monitors in theemergency department and in thesecurity office. Five nurses wereasked to operate the surveillanceequipment and 5 nurses were notfamiliar with the equipment. Securityknew were the monitors were andthat there were video tapes, but didnot know if the equipment waso erational.
