• Moodle is a useful tool because it integrates the convenient resource of online communication into the classroom. This is beneficial because it allows for students and teachers to be on the same page with regards to agendas, attendance records, grades, group-work, and the sharing of information (via the blog feature).

• My rating for this tool would be a 5/5.

• Mozilla Firefox is an interesting web browser because it is easy to customize based on your preference. The one feature that has impressed me would be the WOT (Web of Trust) feature that I installed, which promotes trustworthiness with web browsing based on website ratings.

• My rating for this tool would be a 5/5.

• Google Applications have continued to impress me. Before taking this class, I never ventured beyond Google’s messaging and searching capabilities, so I was extremely surprised to learn about the convenient tools that allow for collaboration. My favorite feature is the interactive documents.

• My rating for this tool would be a 5/5.

• Prezi has allowed me to do away with the bland use of Powerpoint. This tool makes presentations come alive with its ability to manipulate the audience’s perspective. My first impression of this tool was “WOW!” and although it seemed intimidating to learn, I am now much more savvy and am able to use this tool with ease.

• My rating for this tool would be a 5/5.

• Weebly is a website creator that is user-friendly and allows for people to showcase anything and everything with a look of sophistication. Before learning about tools such as Weebly, my impression of creating websites was always that the task was extremely cumbersome because of the use of HTML codes. Weebly’s drag and drop feature make it possible for anyone (young or old, tech-literate or illiterate) to use!

• My rating for this tool would be a 5/5.

• Delicious is a handy bookmarking tool that allows for people to find and share useful links. This becomes extremely helpful in finding great resources. The “Tags” feature has allowed me to find dependable links that have been recommended by others.

• My rating for this tool would be a 5/5.

• iMovie is an editing software that is also user-friendly for tech rookies such as myself. Its editing features include adding voice-overs, background music, video and photo files, and transitions. This creates an overall aesthetic means of expression.

• My rating for this tool would be a 5/5.

• Slideshare allows the sharing, storing, and enjoying of slideshows that have been created by many people within the web community. This is useful for teachers to have access to students’ Powerpoint presentations. With this tool, you can add these slideshows to websites or blogs and create groups.

• My rating for this tool would be a 5/5.
