Economy Character Sheet v3, by Marco Skoll Hello, and welcome to the economy character sheet - designed to fit the basic details of up to six characters onto one sheet of paper, it saves on a lot of messing around at the table. No sorting through several sheets to find the right one. One sheet, everything on it, less time and less table space used. Using this sheet I recommend setting this base file as a read only copy - you can do this in the properties (usually accessible on the right click menu in Windows). This should stop you filling in your blank file and make things easier - just save off a copy each time you want to fill one out. Filling the sheet: You should know the basic abbreviations, but for the "new" ones: You have KnockBacK, Base Injury Value, System Shock value, CoNsCiousness value, and rather obviously, SPeeD. On the injury tables, the injury box is intended to have the injury level written in (usually abbreviated to the initial letter - Light, Heavy, Serious, Acute and Crippled). An additional number can indicate the number of bleeding wounds (S2 would be a serious wound with an additional two bleeding effects on top) If armour has special qualities, mark this with an appropriate letter. (e.g. 6R + 3A for six points with the reflective quality with 3 points ablative on top). The character's handedness can be marked by highlighting the appropriate column header on this location table. On the firearms table, it's all in the standard order up to Encumbrance (or Weight, if you prefer), even if I've abbreviated something or used a slightly different term. Then you've got number of reloads and any special information like if the weapon is silenced. It's recommended to use the 40K RPG method of writing weapon fire rates - these are of the form S/3/- , or similar. The S represents a single fire mode, the number between the two slashes represents the semi firing mode/modes (in this case, 3) and the last number would be the full auto firing modes (but, in this case, it hasn't got a full auto mode, so it has a dash in its place). If a mode has more than one option for a fire mode (or a range of options), use commas and dashes intelligently. On the melee weapons table - I hope this is easy enough to work out… There's not enough space! This is all about economy. Raw essential details, absolute basics. So: - Abbreviate if you're short on space. So, not "Advanced Bionic arm", but "Adv Bionic Arm" or even "Adv Bnc Arm" if needed. - Don't explain the fine points of an ability or piece of equipment on pg 2 or 3, save that for spare space on pages 4 & 5. Summarise basics (like reminding yourself that a bionic arm is "S60, +2 AV") if it helps. - Likewise, if your character has seven different guns, only put the details for the ones he uses most often into the data table, put the others under "Equipment", and use pages 4 & 5 or his own character sheet to write down those rules. - Use a comma list, not individual lines. - This sheet is mostly intended to be printed with the basic details in it, but if you've got a sharp pencil or fine pen, you should be able to write the details on to page 2 or 3 by hand if you wish. Pages 4 & 5 are somewhat less compatible with handwriting. Printing: You may have noticed some line/character spacings seem a bit off while filling out the sheet. This will usually only be on screen, and will generally sort itself out on the printed copy.

Economy Character Sheet v3, by Marco SkollHello, and welcome to the economy character sheet - designed to fit the basic details of up to six characters onto one sheet of paper, it saves on a lot of messing around at the table. No sorting through several sheets to find the right one. One sheet, everything on it, less time and less table space used.

Using this sheetI recommend setting this base file as a read only copy - you can do this in the properties (usually accessible on the right click menu in Windows). This should stop you filling in your blank file and make things easier - just save off a copy each time you want to fill one out.

Filling the sheet:You should know the basic abbreviations, but for the "new" ones: You have KnockBacK, Base Injury Value, System Shock value, CoNsCiousness value, and rather obviously, SPeeD.

On the injury tables, the injury box is intended to have the injury level written in (usually abbreviated to the initial letter - Light, Heavy, Serious, Acute and Crippled). An additional number can indicate the number of bleeding wounds (S2 would be a serious wound with an additional two bleeding effects on top)If armour has special qualities, mark this with an appropriate letter.

On the melee weapons table - I hope this is easy enough to work out…

There's not enough space! This is all about economy. Raw essential details, absolute basics. So: -Abbreviate if you're short on space. So, not "Advanced Bionic arm", but "Adv Bionic Arm" or even "Adv Bnc Arm" if needed.-Don't explain the fine points of an ability or piece of equipment on pg 2 or 3, save that for spare space on pages 4 & 5. Summarise basics (like reminding yourself that a bionic arm is "S60, +2 AV") if it helps. -Likewise, if your character has seven different guns, only put the details for the ones he uses most often into the data table, put the others under "Equipment", and use pages 4 & 5 or his own character sheet to write down those rules.-Use a comma list, not individual lines.-This sheet is mostly intended to be printed with the basic details in it, but if you've got a sharp pencil or fine pen, you should be able to write the details on to page 2 or 3 by hand if you wish. Pages 4 & 5 are somewhat less compatible with handwriting.

Printing:You may have noticed some line/character spacings seem a bit off while filling out the sheet. This will usually only be on screen, and will generally sort itself out on the printed copy.

There are two ways to print this sheet. Option 1: After you've filled in the basic details, first check you haven't stretched the tables off their original pages, then print page 2 of this document (letting the printer resize if it thinks the margins are too wide). Then, take said piece of paper, and feed it back in to print page 3 - make sure you put it in so that it's printing on the blank side, or you'll end up with a horrible mess! Then repeat with pages 4 & 5 to give you a summary page of all of the appropriate skills and equipment.

Option 2: A bit trickier, needing you to find the pages per sheet option available in most word processing programs. (Likely found on the printer options window.) If you set this to "2 pages per sheet", then the printer will print out two A5 equivalent pages on one side of A4. Print pages 3 & 2* on one side of the paper - then put the paper back in (making sure you feed it in the right way up) and print pages 4 & 5 on the other side. This can then be folded in half to give you a little A5 booklet with the character profiles on the outside and a quick reference on the inside. A sharp pencil is required to use a character sheet this size, but if your eyes can handle it, it really does save on table space.

*Printed this way around, Page 2 will be on the front when folded.
