The EcoCare team of PT. Ungaran Sari Garments was formed in March 9, 2013 to make an active difference for the local

environment. In order to celebrate Semarang District’s 30th

birthday and to fulfill the Adipura Award assesment process for 2014,

on 7 March 2014 the local government held a “Clean Rivers Program” (called “PROKASIH” or “Program Kali Bersih” in the

Indonesian language) at Belang river which located 3 kilometres from factories in Central Java.

There were 350 people involved in this program, 45 people were employees of PT. Ungaran Sari Garments. We cleaned up the

river for five hours, then the collected garbage was transported by two large trucks belonging to the local government. By

participating in this activity, PT. Ungaran Sari Garments assisted the government of Semarang in retaining the Adipura trophy,

which has been achieved in 2013, for the 2014 period.

Adipura Award began in 1986. It is organized by the Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment and is given to one city that successfully manages the

cleanliness of the city according to the criteria specified

In our factories, we conduct a blood

drive twive in one year: one in

January and one in June to coincide

with World Red Cross Day.

The total number of blood bag

donations from PT. Ungaran Sari

Garments gathered from 2004

through early 2014 is more than

10.000 bags.

In 2013, we received an award from

the Regency of Semarang as The

Company with The Largest Numbers

of Blood Bag Donations.

Workplace Health and Safety Award In commemoration of The National

Workplace Health and Safety Day, in

February, we received an award from

the Regency of Semarang as a

company which regularly implements

health and safety training in the

workplace. We were one of three

companies that received the award.

Workplace health and safety is an

area concerned with protecting the

safety, health, and welfare of people

engaged in the workplace. We actively

provide trainings for employees, such

as Zero Accident trainings (firts aids &

CPR, fire drill, personal protection

equipment & machine safety devices,

and Hazard Identification Risk

Assesment Control) also HIV and AIDS

awareness act.

In February 2014, the Social Security Agency

or Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial

(BPJS) awarded PT. Ungaran Sari Garments

as the company with the largest number of

employees that makes Social Security

Payments on behalf of its employees in a

timely and consistent manner.

We are the only company who achieved this

award. The Social Security Agency commonly

receives requests to pospone the payment

deadline from companies with large

numbers of employees, however PT.

Ungaran Sari Garments is always on time

with payments and is never late.

Local Community Care Donate to Renovation of Mosque

We provided 112 bags of cement, 20 ceiling sheets, and 10 planks of wood to the

Ar-Rohman Mosques and Miftahul Janah Mosque. Each of them are located in

nearby villages within a 1 kilometre distance from our factories. The total amount

of these materials was approximately 700 USD. The donations was delivered by six

representatives in February and in April 2014.

Food Donations to The Local Toddler Health Clinic

The local health Clinic (or Pos Pelayanan Terpadu in the Indonesian language) is

focused on serving babies and toddlers of low income families. We donated 34

packages of baby porridge and biscuits to two clinics which very near to our

factories (approximately 200 to 300 metres). Those clinics were actively conduct

health check up for the toddlers every months. We sent four representatives to

deliver the food donation in April 2014.
