With the New Year approaching, many of us will be thinking about what we have done in 2013 and what we will do in 2014.

Our team have a lot to reect on with the creation of ECLP and theeefforts to meet communitymembers and launch our projects.We have been working hard withlocal schools and supporting local groups to form new partnerships and start projects that can benet the wholeccommunity.

Our work focusses on TacklingPoverty and we aim to improve Health, Learning and Prosperity for people living within the area.

We will continue to develop and deliver these projects during 2014, but mo2014, but more than ever we need your input and support to make sure that what we are delivering is right for you. Look out for dates of community events in your area or contact us to get involved with a specic pproject that interests you.

We hope to see and meet even more community members in the New Year to make 2014 a great year for the community!

Parent support sessionsWe are planning a number of events for parents and anyone else interested to come andfind out about a range of issues such as mental health, self harm, dealing with debt,ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, drug and alcohol misuse, money management and more.

from our new Family Liaison Officers

Over the last two months we have arranged lots of free training tasters across East Cardiff, Llanedeyrn and Pentwyn, all of which hadgreat feedback from the people who attended, with many wanting to go on to further training. We have also set up our Family Liaison Officersin the schools they will be operating from. in the schools they will be operating from. We hope that they can start to be of real help to parents who need support. We were also busy helping to organise the St. Illtyd’s Christmas market, which attracted over 600 attendees, as part of our Communities in Schools project.

Need a New Year’s Resolution? Make it learning something new! something new! We are putting on two training courses in January which are free and open to anyone from East Cardiff, Llanedeyrn and Pentwyn.If you would like to take part in either a 10 week Plumbing course or a 10 hour (5 x 2 hour sessions) course on Preparing to be a Personal Assistant get in touch.

The Here All Week Project will soon be in its fourth month! In January it will be visiting The Powerhouse inLlanedeyrn, just as they start all their new courses. During Here All Week! Out staff members are available all week in a local venue, so community members canjust pop in and discuss any aspect of our work, what we do, where we do it and how you can be a part of we do, where we do it and how you can be a part of it. So far we talked to people who would like to starta community group, volunteer their time, attend trainingand access funding for their community group.
