How to visit library during day?

Students with a spare (grade 11 or 12), can sign in at the main desk

Others must bring a signed yellow permission form from their teacher to come during class to photocopy, print, find a book, etc.

Why come to the Library ?

Three daily newspapers and almost 30 magazines,Research and Use the computers,Complete homework and study for tests,Sign out books for pleasure reading,Printing, photocopyingGet help with assignments, citing sources..

Role of the Teacher-Librarian

-to encourage and support all students to become lifelong learners,-to promote and use the TDSB Virtual library,-to encourage the use of collaborative digital tools,-to host guest speakers (Lawrence Hill, Terry Fallis),-to run reading contests (White Pine),-to teach information literacy skills (inquiry, research, problem solving, citing sources..)

Computer Reminders

Computers are for School Work onlyNo gaming, Facebook etc.

All computers are monitored by teacher librarians
