EU-China Grid Cooperation - Long term Cooperation
Promote communication and cooperation between EU and China by
conferences and workshops
Major Chinese research teams and IT companies attended the
events
Face-to-face exchange of ideas and opinions enabled by those
events
Communication with government agencies: EC and Chinese government
officials participated in these eventsand cooperation was planned
at the government level
Networking among people in this field has been established and is
extremely important for the long-term cooperationKnowing the
leading R&D teams and their activitiesIdentifying topics and
objectives of common interestsCoordinating R&D
activitiesPlanning for the future
This networking is more important than individual physical result
and has more significant long term impact

Future cooperation
We need your feedback on what have been achieved to shape future
cooperationsTake this workshop and F2F meetings to start new
collaborationsFP7 call5 is next year and it is time to start
discussing with people and to join proposalsParticipation to ICT
2008 is also a good way to do networking with potential partners to
prepare project proposalsUse cooperation schemes provided by the
member states and research institutions/universities
