He set up Reyntiens Glass Studio in 1996 and it has been running for nearly 20 years. John started the company with the stained glass restoration for Windsor Castle after the great fire. Since then he has worked with a wide variety of user groups on projects ranging from large-scale windows such as the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee gift at the Houses of Parliament, to little beads for Versace. John trained in fine and decorative arts. He brings a combination of established techniques and new technologies to new projects as well as to restoration and conservation work. His team use hand-blown antique glass, acid etching, kiln-forming, staining, painting and gilding to create unique pieces of artwork. Technologies such as silk-screen and lamination have opened up a broader marketplace for architectural glass, facilitating exciting new possibilities for the medium. The company is dedicated to giving a reliable service, we timetable what we do and always allow a certain contingency, so we always produced work on time and to budget.
