raising $5,700 in 1990, the number of

    groups participating, and the total

amount raised in cash donations and food item values has grown each year, reaching a

record of 989,034 food items and $9,712,673 in cash and food item value for 2018. You

may bring in your donation of cans of soup any time through February 2. Ebenezer

    RISE AGAINST HUNGER

    MEAL PACKAGING EVENT

    SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 8

    8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.

Come one, come all! Sign up today to be part of an historic event, our first

(hopefully to become annual) RAH Meal Packaging Event. All we are asking for is an hour or two of your time. There will be laughter, there will be uplifting music, there will

be snacks! The CLC will be transformed into assembly lines where pouch meals will be assembled, weighed, sealed, and packed for shipment.

There is a task for everyone; some tasks require no standing.

On the sign-up sheet you will see categories for set-up, assembly, and clean-up. The

set-up time 8:00-10:00 requires some muscle work, we need to handle and arrange 50-pound bags of rice and dehydrated soy. The assembly time 10:00-12:00 requires the

largest number of people, 40 or so would be ideal. The clean-up time 12:00-1:00

includes dis-assembling and packing up the equipment and tools used throughout the morning.

You say you want to help out for the entire morning? Of course, you can!

If you have any questions, please speak with or contact Ann Varey, 302.234.2012 or [email protected].
