Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetic Academy (BYPC Academy) is located in
south central Springfield, MO. The facilities are clean and bright. The space
is inspected yearly by Missouri’s Department of Tattoo and has maintained
state approval.
The space is handicap accessible, including the restrooms.
Parking is close in proximity to the building and parking is ample.
A kitchen is available for student’s to place food that needs refrigeration or
microwave heating.
Springfield, Missouri is located nearly right in the middle of the United
States. It is easy to get here from any direction. The cost of living here is low
so that makes it a great place to visit for continuing education.
Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetics Academy was created to offer
potential students excellent training with hands on experience in the skill set
of permanent cosmetics application.
Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetics Academy takes a scientific approach to
training, utilizing many modalities to help ensure all types of learning styles.
Our program is dynamic and the content is pertinent to everything you’ll
encounter as a permanent cosmetic technician.
The Director of Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetics Academy is a
registered nurse since 1991 and also a licensed tattooist in the state of
Missouri since 2006. She is also a trainer member through the Society of Per-
manent Cosmetics (SPCP). She has worked in the higher education
industry at Missouri State University and also in hospital education over the
years. She is the owner-operator of Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetics

Academy. Those who have an attention to detail, a
background in health, dental or beauty or who have a

Beautiful You understands people have a busy life
outside of learning a new profession, which is why
programs are created with flexible scheduling.
Most programs occur over a series of long weekends so
participants can maintain previous obligations while
learning something new and exciting.
OUR OBJECTIVES
• To relay practical information that is useful and
pertinent to the learner so that they can perform
permanent cosmetic procedures with confidence
within a three to six months’ time-frame.
• To break down the steps of working with clients from
beginning to end enabling the building of rapport with
each client so that she/he is retained over her lifetime
and shares her positive experience with others.
• To deliver industry standardized information relative
to permanent cosmetics with a scientific approach
that takes the guesswork out of performing
procedures, beginning a practice and maintaining a
professional trade.

COURSE OBJECTIVES COURSE DESCRIPTIONS—300 hour course
PERMANENT COSMETICS FUNDAMENTALS PROGRAM
The Permanent Cosmetics Fundamentals program is a hands on 100-hour
program to equip applicants with everything they need to start their own
permanent cosmetics business or join an already established studio. This
program also includes an additional 200-hour hands on experience where
the student will complete at least 50-procedures in permanent cosmetics.
Only four students per session allows one-on-one attention to achieve
significant hands on experience. Course Tuition is $9400.
Our fundamental program meets four full days a month (Block 1)
followed by meeting a month later (Block 2) to complete the remaining
four days over a long weekend. That, along with self-study hours at the
student’s discretion, make this program easily manageable for most.

Admission Criteria Potential students for the Fundamentals of Permanent Cosmetics course will have experience/education/training in one of the below;
• 12-months worth of health care field related to patient care as evidenced by paystub or reference letter. OR
• 12-months history of microblading or tattoo experience/training as evidenced by license or certificate. OR
• Two college level courses or at least 12-months training in the arts, specifically drawing and sketching as evidenced by transcript. OR
• 12-months experience/education in the beauty industry such as an esthetics or cosmetology background as evidenced by license, certificate or paystub.
Student must have completed Basic CPR, First Aid and the recommended Blood Borne Pathogen training as well as have received in total or have begun their Hepatitis B series vaccination before the second day of class. Potential students will fill out an application. Only four students per session are admitted to each course to ensure adequate hands-on experiences with model work. An enrollment agreement must be filled out if student is accepted into the course.

Course Tuition:
GRADING METHODOLOGY
A quiz is given at the end of each day addressing points of
study from that day. These are in preparation for the final
exam and does not count toward the pass/fail requirement.
Student must pass a final exam with a 75% or above. This exam
is given at least a week after the course is completed.
Student will have the opportunity to retake the exam up to
three times with two weeks between each attempt.
Student must demonstrate appropriate placement of
eyebrows, eyeliner and lip pigmentation on client.
Student must demonstrate proper use of equipment when
performing permanent eyebrow, eyeliner and lip procedures.
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS
Students must complete all hours of training, including
satisfactory hands on model work, before receiving a
Certificate of Completion for the class.
Attendance is mandatory. Students must arrive to class on
time each day and may not leave early unless prescheduled
prior approval has been granted from Beautiful You
Permanent Cosmetics Academy. All classroom hours must be
completed to receive course completed certificate.
At the end of your training, students will be required to pass a
written exam over the material studied during the course.
Passing is 75% or better on the exam.

CLASSROOM MATERIALS
• Students shall bring their own magnification (readers, loupes, eyeglasses…) for client procedures if they
need this visual assistance.
• Students are required to bring their own camera or mobile phone with a camera to training for
before and after photos of clients.
• Students may arrange for models to bring to class, for hands-on work. Models will receive
permanent cosmetics at a discounted rate of $125 per procedure payable to Beautiful You
Permanent Cosmetics Academy to cover the cost of basic fees. If a student is unable to obtain a model,
Beautiful You will provide the model.
• Each student will be provided with a workbook, a manual method set up, a measuring caliper,
pigments, anesthetic, practice skin and other tools for use during the days of training and beyond.
• Students will have access to a variety of tools throughout the course so they can become familiar with
the variety of tools available for use in the industry.
• Upon completion of the Fundamentals of Permanent Cosmetics and any additional hours the
student has elected to do, if any, as well as state licensure to provide tattoo, student will be given a $500
credit to be used toward the tattoo machine of their choice purchased through the school.

The Blood Borne Pathogens course must be taken by students prior to the beginning of any BYPCA class.
Students will be required to cover the expense of this class. ($50)

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Potential students will have an education/training or experience in health care, microblading or tattoo or\ in the
arts, specifically drawing and sketching.
Student must first complete the course application and submit to Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetics
Academy by mail, email or in person. A $100 application fee is required with submission of the application.
The enrollment period for a course is two weeks before the week a new course begins. Course space is limited
to four students each course. Once a student has been accepted into the program, paperwork has been
submitted and fees have been paid, pre-class training materials will be mailed or presented in person as agreed
upon.
Blood Borne pathogens, CPR and Basic First Aide along with the Hepatitis B Vaccine series is also a requirement.

Student may cancel their registration for a program within three business days of when the enrollment
period ends and receive a full refund within 5—7 business days. Because the classroom time consists of be-
tween 5 and 8 days of attendance and class size is limited to only four students, a 50% of tuition only refund
will be given if student withdrawals or is dismissed before the end of classroom day two. If student
withdraws or is dismissed by end of classroom day four, a 10% refund of tuition only will be given. The refund
may take up to 5-7 business days to occur.
If an emergency dictates that a student fails to complete enrolled course, student must make re-application,
including application fee. Student must also include a personal letter stating reasons why student should be
reconsidered for enrollment, additionally verifying previous emergency is resolved. Letter must be signed and

Student’s will be polite to fellow classmates, instructors and any clients served in the Academy.
Business casual attire or clean and non-wrinkled medical scrubs may be worn to class.
Timeliness to class and model procedure work is imperative.
Inappropriate language will not be tolerated.
Good personal hygiene is imperative.
Failure to abide by this conduct policy will result in a disciplinary warning from the program director.
Two disciplinary warnings will result in expulsion from the program.

application fees included with application. Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetics Academy will schedule an
interview to determine if student will be reaccepted to the program for future dates. If student followed proper
dismissal guidelines for their incompletion of program, the applicant will be re-considered for future enrollment.

accommodate. Only available spaces will be permitted for re-admittance.
If an unforeseen situation dictates that a student cancels attendance in the class before the first day, or while
the class is in progress, the student will be offered a date in the future as agreed upon by Beautiful You
Permanent Cosmetics Academy to complete the training course. To be considered for re-enrollment, student
must provide in writing the rationale for failing to complete the scheduled program. Students must provide
materials, signed within one week.

PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE INFORMATION:
During the course of your training, Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetics will work with you on what kind of
facilities and organizations would value from your new skill set. Beautiful You also provides letters of
recommendation and proof of attendance for your future employer. The Academy also spends ample time and
effort educating you on how to set up your own business as an independent contractor in providing permanent
cosmetic services in the community you reside in. This includes information on licensure, city regulations,
zoning, insurance, startup costs, locations and many other pertinent things related to self-employment.
TRANSCRIPT ISSUANCE POLICY:
Beautiful You Permanent Cosmetics Academy keeps complete files on student’s time, completed procedures
and all of the necessary requirements that you provide proof of, such as CPR and First Aid certification, the
Blood Borne Pathogen training certificate and the Hepatitis B vaccination proof as well as any previous
instruction hours you may have obtained prior to coming to Beautiful You. Should the student need copies of
these items, a request must be made through the program Administrator in writing to ensure student privacy.
There is no fee for the first transcript request. Subsequent requests are $10. Please allow 5—7 business days to
complete the request.

Attendance: Students are required to attend the full classroom time allotted.
If a classroom session is missed, it must be made up in a subsequent course as no
makeup sessions are available during the current session. This will set the students
completion date back by months as courses are offered quarterly. Student will not
receive a certificate of completion unless all hours are accounted for. Students must
make up the classes missed within a six month period. Courses are offered
on a quarterly basis.
Grades: Students progress out of the course on a pass/fail basis. Passing status is
based on satisfactory model work completion, passing the exam with a 75% or better
and attending all required hours for each course enrolled in. Also, the student must
have providing Blood Borne Pathogen completion, Hepatitis B Vaccination
verification completion or in process and Basic CPR completion certification for a
passing status.
Time: The student has six months to complete these items before she/he is issued
a fail status. Student may apply for re-enrollment in the future but is not guaranteed
admission.
Due to the short course periods, students will be evaluated weekly on these points.
Ongoing communication between the student and the supervising instructor will
occur on these points.
